- In this step-by-step FREE tutorial I'll show you how to make EDIBLE FABRIC. It's wonderfully versatile and fast becoming a staple in modern cake design, alongside gum paste and modeling chocolate *and in my heart! You'll need a few simple tools and ingredients, about 15 minutes of work time and 30 minutes of gelatin setting time.
Ingredients: rice paper (wafer paper), 2 tbsp unflavored gelatin, 4 tbsp water, 2 tbsp glycerine and powdered food color or cornstarch for white "fabric", amounts will vary.
Tools: Silpat mat, measuring spoons, microwavable cups or bowls, wide preferably flat paint brush , spoon, knife. - Krátké a kreslené filmy
The steps that lead me here:
1. Watched an aquarium video about Molly fish
2. Watched CZcams short from same channel about the glue and paper on McDonald’s icecream.
3. Looked up what the edible glue and paper is made of and was curious how it’s made.
4. Looked up how to make edible paper.
5. Watched the video on making edible paper
6. Your video was under the suggested and now I’m here.
Alright, back to Molly fish!😂

Slice of Couture how did your project go?
I don’t know what card wafer paper is, but I use the 8 x 10 (or maybe it’s 8 1/2 by 11) sheets that are available at many cake decorating supply stores or from Amazon.com
Thank you for your tutorial. Can you kindly provide link for the rice paper you used?
Printed rice paper makes great patterned fabrics
Hi, thankyou so much for the tutorial. But i wonder does it work on other powdered food colouring? Or just a glitter dust powder?

Great video! Can I use any rice paper?
I'm very grateful for finding this channel and this recipe. It really worked! You know, I just started experimenting with edible mediums but I find it a little bit dissapointing because even though it's edible, it tastes horrible. I could not eat any of that... and I'm having my doubts about putting something that taste that bad in my cakes. I don't know if anyone feels the same way or if it's just me...maybe there's something I don't know about it.
Thank you for this info. I never actually see edible stuff being eaten or cut to show how it works
the marmaid's tail is firmed up, how was that done please
Will this be safe to attach onto jello. Which is a moist texture ?
That's absolutely wonderful..thanks for sharing .. you're very talented lady 🙏❣️
Can I make the paste in clear and paint on a printed rice sheet to still get this affect?
Awesome, such a informative video. Do you use just regular glycerin or is there a food safe type? Loved this, thanks.
Rikki Spinner food types, Dr Oerter has a brand.
Omg! This is amazing!! I can't believe I didn't know this existed until now!!
Hi. Was the powdered food coloring you used for the base color gold luster powder? Or was it two different powders? This part wasn't clear to me.
Great job !!!Can I put black powder color to get black edible craft please????
Wow. Amazing any substitute for Glycerine?
Could this be used to make a sail on a cake??
How do you attach this to the cake?
This is amazingg..😍😍 is there a substitute for gelatine??
WOW 🤯. 🤗
Hi love your work, thanks so much for the video and sharing your talent. I have a question, how did you make the dogs ear? does this become hard and how long does it take to harden. Im actually making a fascinator for a cake it must be edible i want to make flowers to put on this edible fascinator, but this fabric is too soft is there a way to shape this fabric like a flower petal and then later form a flower?
I would like to know if it get hard too
Any substitute for glycerine
Any suggestions of where to get the rice paper.
Can you use this to wrap a cake?
I would like to know if this can be made in advance and how it can be stored.
What thickness was the wafer paper, I'm having trouble determining what grade of wafer paper to buy. 😭
Does it get hard after so many minutes or hours or days or does it stay soft all the time?
Pls wat is rice paper. Can u pls make a video demonstrating wat u can use dat to for
thanks for sharing,
1. Can this edible paper be placed on top of the fresh cream coating, won't this material be mushy?
2. Will it last if we keep the decorated cake in the fridge?
3. Is it necessary to apply any cream before putting it on the cake?
Will this melt in water? Thanks
Yummy If I may ask where can I have rice paper?
Hello ma'am....can I use agar agar powder instead of gelatin..... please reply
❤️❤️❤️
it will harden sooner??????
