This was actually a mental fight. Viltrumites wanted information but failed to get it from Allen.
Much like Batman vs Darkseid, when the Dark Knight defeated the Apokolips warlord, for blackmailed him with blow his planet, even despite to that Darkseid was beating him up severely, yet Batman refuse to give in to his intimidation, forcing Darkseid to accept the defeat and leaves Supergirl be.

Never have I seen so many characters get VERY mortally wounded only to show up next scene in the hospital. Healthcare is amazing in Invincible universe!
Get used to it things get a lot more absurd as the story goes on lmao. Pretty much every major character gets brutally maimed at one point and walks it off
You'd expect it to be in a space sci-fi. They've created artificial gravity, faster than light engines, forcefields. Repairing some squishy biological body should be easy by comparison. Especially when that body is super durable to start with.
@@peytonmac1131 Yeah it’s not illogical just…strange. In normal cinematic language, seeing someone get stabbed in the heart, shot in the head, eyeballs popped out, guts exploded, etc, usually means DEAD even if they’re super beings.

I just loved the way Allen was being defiant towards the Viltrumites by acting like a smartass to them even if he told them where Nolan and Mark were they still would’ve brutalized him to death and Allen knew it it’s like he said it’s not the Viltrumites’s style to ask questions first and use violence last

His acting like a smartass was to keep them from bringing civilians into the mix. They were gonna brutalize him regardless of how good of a fight he put up, the question was how many people needed to die before he went down.
It was a moral victory. He took the calculated risk to protect the people on the station by not fighting back.

@@nuclearwaste2062 Viltrumites don't have power boosts from near death, they just get stronger the older they become -- awakening and experience are both accounted for. In this case, the reason why Mark so strong is because Atom Eve basically gave him a peak body.

He’s not the last of his species. He was the only successful super soldier from the program his species ran. There are plenty more, just way weaker.
This wasn't a vs fight video at all, this was a strong man that would not break, that would protect not just the knowledge but the one he loves.

Question: Do they ever explain in the show or the comics how most alien species speak English? At first I thought characters like Omni-Man & Martian Man learned it once they got to Earth, yet it seems almost every other intelligent race in the Invincible universe speaks English when a majority of the people of Earth don't.
Most of them have a chip in their brains that allows them to communicate telepathically and acts as a translation device

I always found it weird how alien food always seemed still alive, like these super advanced future beings eating like they are still living in caves and mud huts.

The fucked up thing is that they showed how much RESTRAINT a Vilrumite can have. They grabbed him through the station without killing anyone else. They could have wiped out the station itself. They didn't. He was the target. They came, failed to get information, maimed him, and left.
Hell, they likely knew he was still alive.
For all their bloodthirst, they could have done more... and didn't.

i mean idk what that is but it looks like some sort of creature that is served ALIVE and being chopped so the customer can eat its brain but the creature still have its survival instinct.
Not too different from many Asian restaurants.
I'm with Wielder; I mean, I realize they're aliens, and what's abnormal here may be normal to them, but for citizens of a civilization that has mastered interstellar travel, eating live food just comes across as, well, primitive and barbaric. That, and this is one of those moments where it really shows that sometimes the series is relying on gore shock value way too much. At least, for my tastes.
@@bobbackward6461at least in this series the gore is used to portray the brutality and danger of a given scene usually the whole point of omni man vs mark in season 1 was to prove a point on how much damage omni man can do and how helpless mark was in the battle i think the gore adds perspective on what it would actually be like in a world full of super powers and aliens

Alan won that fight, because he learned there’s definitely a mole and the Viltrumites are nervous enough about Nolan to ask for details about Mark and an immediate response. The Viltrumites learned nothing new and tipped their hand to the Coalition. There’s more than one way to win.
