    I made this recipe today. I didn't have garlic powder, so I used onion powder. I also dabbled with a bit of Hidden Valley ranch powder dressing mix. The creamiest mashed potatoes I have ever made. Definitely yummy in my tummy..

    Thank you so much for this recipe!!! Also I only had 3/4 cup milk left in my fridge so I used it and I added some sour cream and used garlic salt instead of powder and it turned out AMAZINGGGGG

    This is the best recipe on CZcams for mashed potatoes in the pressure cooker. You give the weight of the potatoes and amount of water (3/4 of a cup ) so no draining is required. Other recipes don’t give exact amounts and require draining - in which case it is easier to cook potatoes on the stove in a saucepan! Thank you very much.

    I used my Insta-pot for the very first time with your Mashed Potato Instructions. I love potatoes, and these are the very fastest and creamiest I've ever made! The Garlic makes them to die for!

    I've made these on several occasions and im making them tonight as well and easily the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. I add a bit more salt and seasonings but of course that's completely up to whoever is eating them! Wonderful tutorial, easy to understand, and I just love your attitude!😊

    Yeah I use about a quarter of that milk and 2 sticks of butter (boiled with crushed garlic). That little bit of extra effort goes a LONG way.

    I've found that an electric hand mixer with beater attachments works great for mashing potatoes too. Do not use a blender or food processor as it will result in a starchy gloop.

      Depends on a size of your IP. About 15-20 mins should be great! Use Keep warm too and mash right before serving. Easy-peasy!

    just FYI people using potatoes other than Russet will need less water, i used 3.25 water and it became soup, so i had to put in more potatoes but other than that it was nice and creamy

    If you double the potatoes do you double the water amount or keep it the same no matter how many pounds of potatoes are used?

    • @ifoodreal
      @ifoodreal  Před rokem +2

      To double the recipe, double all of the recipe ingredients, except the water in 6 or 8 quart Instant Pot and use same cooking time.

  • @leahcheraux5868

    • @ifoodreal

    You meant to say 'three quarter cup of water..'
    What you said was 'three and a quarter cup of water..'
    Which means 3+1/4 cup water..

    • @ifoodreal
      @ifoodreal  Před 2 lety

      Sure 3/4 cup. There is a written recipe for accurate measurements. No problem. It is hard to control when saying things live especially in second language. That’s why printed recipes are best to cook from. Glad you enjoyed!
