A lot of white interviewers want to ask about how it feels to be the representation for Asian kids, but I really think it's just as important that white kids see positive Asian characters and celebrities so they potentially grow up a little less racist.

The film is about two Korean-American brothers named Eli and Daniel who run a shoe store in South Central Los Angeles during the 1992 L.A. riots and have a good relationship with a young black girl named Camilla.
