1/3 of the team are bombers (Ju288) and we're facing a majority of higher BR US planes, which are the natural predators of the FW190Ds. Teamwork is hence required in most cases.
D13 is the best FW190D due to its roll advantage at high speed thanks to its boosted ailerons, and most people prefer the 3x20mm armament.

This map always feels so weird for me, a Maltese living in Malta. Not only is it weird because one can see my entire country in a game, but also because I know exactly where my house is from the map and where I am watching the video from.

Unfortunately, Ju288 spam is not survivable when it gets late and server pops start winding down. It's not uncommon for late night games to be 6v6s where four members of your team are Ju288s, yourself in a fighter, and one other person who ends up being a ground pounding Do 335 because why not.
I feel you man! during the time that I play half the matches are 6v6s and the other half 8v8s...
That's why I stay away from high br props/low br jets now

Yup, low team numbers make it hard for the team with the most bombers to win.
This made trying to spade the K-4 a real pain, one team has 4 Ju 288 and the other gets 3-4 F2G usually. The other two slots on the US/Brit side are either other fighters or attackers, bombers are pretty rare. I think I saw a Lincoln once or twice. It's bad for people trying to grind with the Ju 288 as well really, because you won't get a win bonus very often in these kinds of matches.

Seeing someone win as Germany in this BR range is very satisfying. By the way have you played any soviet fighters after the update? B-20 cannons received a massive buff in terms of damage. La-7B-20 now reliably one-shots single-engine fighters from a short burst. Any chance of seeing you play it?
Yeah at this br, people on the german side get fked up by poor Matchmaking and have ¾ of team as ju288 and 2 fighters.
However, seeing those fighters dont have a knowledge about what the shit they're doin. Literal morons who take gunpods out expecting to live long enough to use that ammo when in truth they're dead before they even use their normal ammo
The Tempest Mk V hispanos have also gotten a buff.
They now feel a lot like the F4u 4b guns.

Before ju 288 nerf Germany always wins the majority of games because ju 288 was a UFO but now they are the achilles heel of Germany late props.
This br is currently broken.
Load in a game of 6v6, 4 ju288c, a d13 and a re2005.
Re 2005 lands and j out because 35k repair costs. Allies have 4v1 on one fighter.
Gajins broken economic system causes players to j out to avoid paying rediculous penalties on repair costs, and spam bombers to try to grind lions. They are literally killing thier own game.
I honestly would rather get uptiered to 6.0 than downtiered to 4.0 in the p51d30 because 6.0 is literally just free wins
I was playing 5.3 Japan and I get paired up with Germany a lot and there are no fighters at all
I’ve been taking out the p47m and printing money killing ju 288c the 8 .50cals light the ju 288c on fire quickly and the p47m is fast enough to dodge its rear guns
yeah. im a italy f2p and damn, when you get gangbanged by spits, f4u, p51 and some other shit while your ju288 team is dead you feel a void in your chest, and its terrible

First, comisserations to axis teams at this BR, I feel your pain. Second, you should try giving the VG 33 a go, 2.7, almost like a mini Ta-152H, only downsides are too much fuel and French 7.5mms.

Yeah the VG33C is one of my favorites. Theres a specific altitude where you can out turn almost any yak and even stall fight some of other contemporaries. Just wish it didnt carry an hour of fuel for quite literally no reason at all.

@@LeDunkerque vg 33 has better climb, turn, roll and high-speed handling though. And they are at the same BR. D520 has better performance at high alt (and high alt fighting is rare at 2.7) and more ammo for the mg's, definitely not worth a tradeoff

I fly my He 162 during events and let me tell you, the 288 spam then is terrible. It'll be me in my 162, usually a 190 or Ta of some sort, maybe a 109 and like 4 288's. We get outnumbered by our own bombers and obviously struggle against the enemy team's 5 fighters and one bomber/ground pounder. But it's still fun since half the enemy team dives for our bombers anyway, making me able to get on them and BnZ.

A match with more than 1 friendly fighter, thats what i call a good day. Most of the time its 4 x 288 & a friendly K4 or a Do 335 lawnmower

After the recent update I felt that the Tempest Mk V guns have been buffed in damage and accuracy. They feel a lot like the F4U 4b guns now. Test them out for yourselves I guarantee you'll love em.
typhoon mk 2 late has its cannons pretty good too
Imo Typhoons 20mms hit like trucks, I don't have the tempest sadly yet but I will get it soon.

Next to the pain of regularly getting into Ju288C spam at 6.0, the Fw 190 D-13 has to be one of my favourite Fw. D-9 and the F-8 are two of my other loved ones for sure! Great video showcasing this beauty!

I unlocked ta 152 h resently, half team of ju 288 made it difficult. Btw adam you should fly italian sm91 you might have overpass it, its a great heavy fighter, capable of turning the tie of the match. 6 mg151 20mm at front and 1 extra at the back its a dream.
By airspawning i force head ons and push fighters low. It also turns quite well, and if u fight a light fighter like zero o spitfire u just let them in ur 6 and delete them with the 20mm turret

Big issue with the SM.91 is the roll rate is pretty bad, and the rudder area is very easy to cripple on the SM.91.. Good as a heavy fighter regardless.

i have mostly given up on playing the 288 around the afternoon periods, matches always end up with 4 288s and 1 or 2 fighters, i at least didn't J out after dropping bombs and attempted to help fighters by being bait or chasing and gunning down some lone fighters, its a good surprise for most expect 288s to run or J out
It's rare to not see 4 Ju288s when the BR is appropriate.

4 out of 12? Then you got an excellent match, Adam. Try 4 bombers, 1 Me-410 and you vs 2 P-51H, 1 F2G, 1 Spit Mk 22, 1 F4U4B and 1 AM-1 :D
BTW that Ju-288C on your team got 2 airkills and other one got 1, so overal 3 kills between 4 bombers, 1 of those survived. Quite ok if you ask me (but usually they do NOT get that many airkills).

The Fw 190D 13 is an absolute god of a plane but just kinda struggles when it gets up tiered to 6.3 games, you’re outperformed by every fighter, especially the P-51H. I’ve personally have had no problems with it because I am more experienced than most players but sometimes you just can’t do anything with an F4U or Spitfire behind you
when there is something like a spitfire at equal energy behind you you need to pull some red tails shit to survive that one
@@jordangames2560 yeah really the only thing you can do in those situations is dive and hope that a teammate comes or just roll out of his rounds until he gets bored or runs out of ammo 😂😂 which I usually try and do
F4U4B, F2G and P51H have your number indeed.
The ju288 is a huge problem for all of German tier 4. Any 5.0 and above will be uptiered to 6.0 if not 6.3 then you are down 4 usefully team mates against better performing aircraft. Thankfully gaijing introduced more mixed air RB games which seemed to help. The d12 and d13 scream at high altitude love them. Thanks!

the D-13 is my most played prop in both SB and RB. i bought it in 2017 and didnt touch it until about a year ago and now its my absolute favorite prop to play
i think i caught you in my D-13 a few weeks ago. I think you were playing the Hornet. I only managed to come out on top because you were critted from a 288 (lol) was a good long fight and you impressed me with your discipline in keeping the energy advantage even though the hornet would out turn the D-13 (i think?)
Oh yeah I remember! That was a nice fight. You did well against the F4U4B attacking you, since it basically does everything better than the D13.
I remember when the 288 was first added at like 4.7 and was just guaranteeing wins left and right for Axis teams due to all the Allies they'd take out with their turrets, while also dragging down a ton of seagulls to get picked off by the always-higher German fighters. How times have changed lol

I havent even start watching... But this grind my gears... Flying my Fav Ta 152, into 6vs6 battles, where 4 is bomber, and you are stuck with 2 vs 6 fighters, and those 6 fighters are 4 F2gs... I love 5,7-6,7 German because of the design and it was actually during ww2, but holy cow...The anger control is real

honestly the MG-131 is now the best aircraft machine gun for mid to close range shooting cause high damage output and fire rate , comparing to the 50cal. the 50 is more about range and sniping pilot while the MG-131 is about shooting micro minengeschoss rounds at the enemy , still depends on what ur trying to do because obviously 50cal is really good at long range and retains armor penetration

My best game I have ever played was in the D13. It’s such an amazing aircraft and definitely comparable to the D9. Almost feels like the same exact aircraft besides the 3 20MM’s
Not to mention the turn isn’t all that Poor, with the great flaps it has use the Takeoff flaps when turning and switch them back over. It’s served me very well
The only way to play at this br is to take a ta152h, climb to the moon and pick enemies one by one. That's how i manage a 1v5

What nation and br range do you play? Just look for things that arent too specific for each tech tree, i.e the 109's for germany or the spitfires for britain.

I recommend playing fighters, it's a better deal long term because you have more room for improvement as a fighter than as a bomber.
I remember the times when this BR was actually quite balanced and enjoyable. I put a talisman on the D-9 and managed to unlock the entire German tech tree with it. Ju-288 and F2G spam made it impossible to play. I’m basically in a worse F2G with 4 bombers on my team. P-51C is going to 3.3 in the next update, P-39N-0 goes to 2.7, F4U-4b to 5.7. I can honestly imagine Fw.190D-9 not being broken at 5.0.
Hmm thought P51C was going to 3.7 and F4U4B to 6.0? But yeah Doras struggle vs the US planes near its BR, partly due to German bomber spam too.

I personally hate the F2G spam much more than the Ju-288 spam.
To me it's a little bit of fun to intercept bombers, than fighting the same exact plane all the time, and that plane being really good, not OP, but strong enough have a fair chance in nearly every situation it's in.
Main reason I dont play 5.0-6.0 germany is the Ju288 spam. I really hope theres a solution to this german late 109s and 190s are really fun to play but not solo against 4 enemy fighters, that shits no fun at all.

Bomber though. Other Swedish planes have those good machine guns but aren't bombers.

Hey Adam. What is your opinion on the BP zero A6m6c? Many are saying its just a bad plane, but ive had some good performance on it with 6deaths and 50 kills in a 17 game period. For some reason it performs better at all speeds with 70% (60% when diving) prop pitch? Anything over 90% will start bleed speed massively. Is this a mechanic in all of the zeroes? And if not is it just one of those MECessary planes like the J21A series?
I haven't flown it so I do not know the MEC intricacies of it, but I'll keep what you said in mind.

I don't understand the appeal of the F2G. part of what makes the F4U-4B (and AU-1 under 1km) dangerous is how it has good speed, climb, turn, roll, and guns - it can do everything well enough to have a way to fight almost any opponent or safely run away from bad situations. The F2G gives up the turn and guns for more speed and climb, but it's not like the -4B was bad in those areas anyway.
Yeah I'd prefer the F4U4B over the F2G even if they were at the same BR. But, F2G does have better speed and climb as you say.
It's from battlepass a few season ago I think, and a premium. Also people sell them for as low as 3 gaijin coin, almost tempted to buy it myself

Isn't it like a D20? If it is, there are better planes you can fly, but it'll fly similar (but worse) to the P51K, D30 and K.

how similar is d9 to this? i am a fan of german planes but i cant play with them properly...
Very similar.
Was the fuel update intentional for props or was it a bug? Using full power on yaks and spitfires gave me one of the worst performance on planes fuel efficiency-wise, but somehow when it came to the Americans, particularly the corsair, full power barely sips any fuel, in fact running on min fuel felt like 20 mins and 20 felt like 30 and so on...
Idk about the update on fuel consumtion, I also noticed that I get very little boost in the J-22 yet my fuel is spent like 1.5 times faster. The bad thing is the bug where you get minimum fuel no matter what you pick, and with jets that disintegrate fuel on afterburner that's a big problem.

reason 1 is they got rid of historical battles with scenarios (old Pearl Harbor map with USA fighters taxing for takeoff amidst exploding bombs, japanese torpedo planes for once having a purpose). when game became 100% deathmatch.... it got boring

I love the Ta 152 c3 but it’s a pain to play. The repair cost is ridicules, so I can’t play it often.
And I still see most allied teams losing because learning to sideclimb is hard. I play mostly 4.0-5.0 because there my free talismans are.
It’s just sad, mostly because I have to 1V6 everything and take out 2-3 before someone domes me
Nah German teams at these BRs have pretty bad win % these days in my experience.

I noticed the radiator nose ring armour did its job. Oil cooler survived the two head ons well enough. But I'm assuming it works best agaisnt HE cannon shells, and not AP .50 or 20mm rounds?

Adam, what control mode do you fly in? I fly in mouse aim, but I'm unhappy with the control authority; especially on the elevator. I've tried turning the Instructor off, but when I do, it throws me into realistic control mode.
Mouse aim. Instructor just prevents you from stalling.

press c, and use your mouse to look around
