AXIAL SCX6 CLOD - MASSIVE STEEL 55mm Axle extension completed & tested!!

Commercially available axle extensions on Ebay and Amazon for 1/8th scale - 1/6th scale trucks and rigs running 8mm axle shafts and 17mm Hex Hubs don't sell extensions any longer than 30mm that i could find. And they are constructed of 6061 anodized aluminum; understandable why 30mm is the max extension.
I set out to make a set in 308 Stainless Steel 12mm outer / 8mm inner bore using 17mm hex nuts locked out with 2.5mm thick stainless pins drilled thru the nut and the stainless steel tube; tube then fitted over the 8mm axle just like the commercially avialable extensions.
I used a single piece of 250mm long steel and cut it 3 times into 4 equal lengths, used a 1/2inch #20 tap&die set to put threads onto the steel tube.
Was a little more challenging than let on for a guy with basic garage tools but it all worked out well in the end (so far anyways!).

This has got to be world record or close for Tamiya Clodbuster Axle width, world record 17mm Hex Hub extension width as well (55mm extensions, total width of the piece is 62.5mm). I can't find much of anybody else on the tube running Clodbuster gear on a rig this big and heavy. Axles heaviler modded to take the heavy gear though so not like its stock Tamiya or something; no stock Clod parts left lol!
