Michael and Danny look out for the people who vote for them but that is not anti anyone it is a counter balance , why would Kerry vote for people who don't care about the way they live ?

What a treat to hear this interview with Michael Healy Rae. This is the first "Politician" I've heard whom I'd vote for hands down always unless he lost it which he won't. People like this who have a wide experience of life who are honest, who are happy, humble and smart at the same time are needed in Ireland as never before. A great interview with a great man even though I don't agree with him on some issues particularly the "Meat eating one"
He stands head and shoulders above the people pleasers of most of our current Politicians.

Fair play to you Michael, your honesty is admirable you speak for us the people of South Kerry and the people of rural Ireland as a whole. Your straight forward honesty and respect for our forebears is one of the few counterparts to the new politically correct ethos of Irish society, which is rapidly replacing the church as the new religion of Ireland

Lived in England for a while. The problem is the voting system. If David Alton could have got elected. He wanted to change it to proportional representation like here. But the lib Dems hadn't a chance. Maggie did a great job destroying his political career by redrawing the borders of the counties, changing his constituents. She must have felt threatened. There are good people in England, but the system keeps them out.

what does this healy rae think now about his two sons getting suspended prison sentences for assaulting and causing harm to an English visitor to Kenmare, Co. Kerry, over Christmas 2017. Jackie Healy-Rae, 24, who is his father’s parliamentary assistant and a county councillor, Kevin Healy-Rae, 22, Englishman Kieran James, 30, and his wife Lauren, objected to Kevin Healy-Rae jumping a long queue at a chip van in the early hours of December 28

When comedians like this guy are taken seriously as ' politicians ' in Kerry, then we have problems ! The public health services in Kerry are third world. The hospital in Tralee is understaffed and their history of misdiagnosis isn't good, to say the least. One doctor on his own was on duty at Kerry General in Tralee on June 10 th 2021. Yes, one doctor. Waiting up to 12 hours to see this doctor to be told you have a terminal illness, is appalling. But, what are the Healey Rae's or any other politicians in Kerry doing about it ? Damn all ! ... is the answer !

So why does every email I send to Michael Healey Rae at oireachtas.ie bounce ? And emails to Paul Murphy TD don't bounce, and he replies ! That's the difference between right and left wing politicians in flea bitten banana republic, Ireland. Rae will delete this comment in gig time, but if I say he's a great man etc. my comment will survive ! Figure it out !
