Listen to an old man read off a sheet of paper repeating the same stuff he already says on tv? I’m good
Ask yourself this how far has pandering really gotten you
No
Merit based school, oh no lol
This is why I still “F” with Skip, he talks about topics no other channels talk about
Big respect to Skip and Michael
Being one of the few that actually decided to talk about this. Giving Michael a platform to speak on it.
Y’all can’t take that away no matter what yall say about this show and Skip.
Skip loves to pander.
Michael Irvin went to Miami 😂
Skip is a good dude.
Who would take this away? You can't, just like this doesn't take away the things he's previously done 4 ppl 2 castigate him. That was based on those things, not this.
No one is talking about it because the NAACP is just trying to cause divides and segregation like always
This is the reason why I still watch Undisputed, other channels would never talk about this
ESPN hasn't talked about this?
You actually have a strong point, bro. I appreciate that
It is what it is cam an mase
That’s cause skip wants to talk about it
Well, Undisputed is a Globalist show, and the agenda is to weaken the USA from within. Division is the key to the collapse of a state.
These athletes don't care about DEI when there's a large NIL.
Neither do the NIL when offering large sums of money to talented people/marketable people. They care about winning games and making money with ticket sales and jersey sales. They don’t care what race you are if you can’t win games and make them money
They should start going to the HBCU.

Teach other white people that!

Dei isn't a class or a book genius 😂 it's stuff that promotes people of different cultures and beliefs to interact with each other on campus. You know like picnics where you eat with each other do you know what the topic is here
For the people in the comments who don’t understand, DEI isn’t about sports. I’m assuming that the comments are from ignorance and not disguised hate.
Also when MI is speaking of Fla welcoming diversity, he’s not necessarily talking about government actions but the fact that FLA is made up of diverse people and cultures. Those diverse cultures and communities have contributed greatly to making FL what it is.
Cool. It seems like governor might not know that.
Thank you well said 💯
we dont need DEI in a community that is diverse.
@AlaborJinta actually you do
@@thomaswaln5433can you explain why? I don’t understand the point of pointing out peoples differences based off of their skin color or ethnicity. I thought that was called racism
This is the most succinct I have ever hear Michael Irvin ever be and it cant be on a more important video than this one. Shame on the state of Florida for this blatant disregard for history & truth.
No it wasn't, he got people in these comments think DEI has something to do with black atheletes which it doesn't
@soda8736 Congrats on being too dull to understand what's going on. DEI includes programs that allow athletes (a large majority of whom are black) to get admitted into schools that their grades may otherwise exclude them from. It also includes affirmative action. Its a way for the power structures who are already entrenched in their financial class to maintain their power by dismissing the very real barriers that black students (and other poor/marginalized people in general) have that make it harder for them to get into college in the first place. The whole point of these programs was to right historical injustices that Florida ADMITS obviously existed... now they claim those inequalities never existed. Blatant racism supported by racists & those (like yourself) too dull to realize what's going on.
@ZiggaBIZ i dont see anything on DEI not admitting black atheletes with less than grades. And if that were true, then so what? Why should any student, regardless of race, get special treatment?
@soda8736 Think about what u just said.... wouldn't the wealthy and/or white students coming from financial backgrounds that make things like getting good grades, attendance & family support more likely... also have an unfair advantage compared to the kids who somehow have to get those same grades while wondering what they will eat today? While the support from their parents (who often didn't have the same opportunities their children have... & their parents even less oppurtunity) are either on drugs, at work or absent entirely? They are also getting special treatment by having those privledges.... that's the whole point. These programs addressed the special treatment that white/wealthy people historically got, that makes it so that they have such an easier time getting to college compared to black/poor people. That's the literal point. Making it more equitable. It's literally in the name (diversity equity and inclusion).... It's really not complicated. If you're upset that black students get "special treatment" by getting a chance to make something of their lives after a series of negative circumstances worked against them, the entire rest of it... then imagine how upset u should be that white folks have enjoyed special treatment for centuries & Florida is doing everything they can to keep it that way. Please stop falling for right-wing propaganda.
@ZiggaBIZ you follow left wing propaganda that everyone black is poor , uneducated, and on drugs. The problem is the culture. A culture that dosent preach education. First generation Africans exel in education, whats their excuse?.
I’m getting tired of this victim agenda/narrative… we’re the most clowned on group because of this🤦🏾♂️
Dei treats black people like they are less than. Like they can't make it without a handout. It hurts black people
It's slavery of the mind.
@WestCoastDon448 No, it doesn't, it makes the playing field level?
Most white people get the jobs because they're white. Believe me anytime a black person gets the job. He's always had to be twice. As good as his white counterpart.
@@Semi_SuccessfulHow is it slavery of the mind?
Correct. Nobody else is so dedicated to group think.
17 & 18 year old males and females have fought in America's wars. The only qualification for DEI should be house hold income. It’s the very thing that all students who need DEI have in common it’s no longer a race issue this is a class issue.
This is larger than sports or even educational institutions. DEI is a nefarious institution that is wreaking havoc on the finance sector and the economy as a whole. It is not about promoting fairness and opportunities for minorities. It is about top-down control. For companies to obtain capital from large corporations and federal reserve banks, they must meet DEI standards. But when you look at what the standard requirements are they have very little to do with inclusion. It uses diversity as a cover for enabling a few corporations (like blackrock) to control virtually all of the capital injections in the economy.
Our firm has been increasing hires of people from all sorts of diverse backgrounds. They’ve made us stronger and they are qualified talent. BLK capital management, Management leadership for tomorrow, Sponsors for education opportunity (SEO) are some of the phograms we use. Has worked great for us and will continue to use it 😊
What does economics got to do with your point. In fact it’s not really about the money dude. It’s about getting scouts to watch your games on tv and up close and personal. Keep that in mind my dude. Everything in life isn’t about money. Its more about opportunities, along with endless options brothaman 😊
Undisputed has always been the vanguard on these types of issues
The only way this show is going to survive is with Michael and Skip. It's not working with Keyshawn and Richard for whatever reason.
I live in Florida and it’s more diverse than anywhere in the country. That a huge reason DEI is NOT needed in Florida.
Michael Irving made a sound observation then somehow convoluted the logic. Unbeleivable.
@rogerwelsh2335 HBCU needs the dominance it has strived for. We need HBCU to be happy me of great black athletes !!
@rogerwelsh2335 Florida is the most segregated state in the country.
SAYS WHITE FOLKS WHO ARE THE ULTIMATE HYPOCRITES SO LONG AS THINGS CONTINUE TO GO THEIR WAY
@CThomas-wg4gc they had all the black athletes at one time. Saying that is like saying black people alone have the only value lol its not valuable if it only reaches one group of people
@@johnnyfive9815 Your comment is the classic racist ideology. Anytime the government tries to correct it's wrongs of the past thru specific legislation, people come in and say"what about us". All they were trying to do is buffer the effects of years of systemic oppression with the passing of DEI. 💯
These things always come down to money....
What they're saying is DEI only. An issue if someone else wants to pay to fix it.
But it won't come Out of our pocket
This is demonstration that they don't really care about it. We want to be seen to be doing something rather than addressing the issues and being part of the solution
The issue is not sports. Major Universities will always find and recruit the best talent.
Where the problem starts is the opportunity of minorities that just want to be “a student”.
Black, Latino, Asian that just want to have an opportunity to get an education are going to lose out with this bill being passed.
Also, the “athletes” most likely won’t even be at the university long enough to receive a degree because their main reason for being there is to play sports and go to the next level as soon as possible.
DEI makes organizations have to provide opportunity to everyone.
Without it, that can “pick and choose” who they admit, hire, etc. “AND IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE ON THE GROUNDS OF MERIT.”
It’s “CHOICE”.
I'm not sure that's correct at all. I think the point of doing that is to base it totally on merit and not on race. Getting rid of DEI helps Asians more than any race, by far.
you guys real for talking about this.
In my opinion, they should stop playing at any college I FL. If they don't want to help us, we should stop helping them as well.
😂
Huh ?
But you expect help from white people when you don't help them?
They are saying you must compete like everyone elese just like on the football field.
Thats not what that is saying at all.@@soda8736

Let's go THE Undisputed starring Skip Bayless!
Oh and can we get Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco on too!
Let's go 2024! 🏈

It also show you what they think
ESPN playing politics as usual.
Listen to both sides first!!!
Honestly blue chip athletes have options…I am glad Florida university did this…I want to see how this plays out. We live in a meritocracy and don’t need DEI.
I love when power dynamics shift (even in small ways like this). They always punch down (immigrants, poor people, students…never amazon).
Well done Skip .... ❤
Essentially we got 1 generation 😂
It's about your education and future. Now throw away any invite to a FL university. I would say go there, be big man on campus, and drive change.
The problem is people need to discuss at length on what these programs consist of. Because I promise it’s not all about teaching about accepting people’s differences.
I'm not surprised at all
These schools need to do better with the misuse of funding & making sure the students are safe.. remodel the dorms & revamp the learning experience.. yikes!
Why does the Florida governor, DeSantis, continue to attack the Black community?
Also, no disrespect to Michael Irving, but the person who should be discussing this is Emmitt since he wrote the letter.
Michael irving needs to work on his diction. This is beyond terrible commentary.
Michael is straddling on this issue instead of really going in on it. He is basically saying look we are your
Labor treats us, right master.
Well decide what the Goal is, if the goal is equality then treat everyone the same and that’s it. If the goal is to make it clear that we’re all different then say that black and people of color need these programs because they’re different. We all understand the past but I’d say that racism get smaller everyday not bigger
Ecclesiasticus 6:13
[13]Separate thyself from thine enemies, and take heed of thy friends.
Unfortunately, DEI is a double edge sword. It helps people like me and other minorities be considered for opportunities that normally wouldn't be provided, it aims to level the playing field. However, it also provides a crutch and another hurdle to jump over if you earn the opportunity off merit. Now it's your only in this position because of diversity rather than merit.
With that being said, there are somethings that DEI doesn't need to be applied to, and that's sports. It's kinda hard to deny talent regardless of what color you are
Skip I knew it was you but I couldn’t get your name right but we did see eye to eye tho
Ps Thankyou for the bestest birthday
Athletes spend their entire lives in competitions and benefit greatly from their own superior performance over others in their profession yet they push DEI- the antithesis of competition and superior performance.
Shannon made the show. And he was able to Articulate the facts. Michael does not speak directly to the issue.
Answer the question. Do you agree with the NAACP letter.
These kids ain't trying to hear that
About time they called out Florida smh . This is a big deal for the future of the " Black culture / Black History 💯
How? PLEASE tell me how.... you and the NAACP are the racist here! Acting like universities can't be diverse without DEI implementation
Pretty sad you think black people need institutionalized racism in order to succeed, but that's where we are now, I guess. Racism is cool as long as it's against the right people 🤦
This doesn't mean they won't recruit black students and athletes what's the deal
Their is nothing diverse about America except their is a lot of different race of people here but that doesn’t mean s!!t.
Just remember people without any programs or regulations the country will revert back to what it used to be. People will always choose who they feel more comfortable with and more often than not race is a big part of it.
lol they have no strategy
No it's about truly making things equal and moving forward as a country everyone has the ability to make it as everyone else does this is a community and financial barrier we need to find ways to stop rich getting richer and poor and middle class poorer we will all be able to be equal racially that fight is over the next battle and battle that needs to be taken asap is raising the poor and Middle class the racial fought has been won!
As a Black Man who lives in Florida, it has always been a diverse place to live and not every person will like you. I saw the elimination of DEI the moment they deleted Affirmative Action. Which will make any DEI Hiring or Program illegal. I'm not sad because I'm part of the Black American Culture that doesn't want any hand outs. It's more fulfilling to know that you achieved something without being given a Curve or boost that isn't provided to others.
based
Well said.
I don't think people truly understand the goals and functions of these programs. I keep "handout this", and "handout that". That is not what these programs do. Shame that people don't look past the politics optics. Just pick up the hot taglines and keep running with it.
What are you talking about. When affirmative action was active white women benefited more the black male and female. What about that curve?
@@rathedon You said "that's not what these programs do" twice, but never stated what the programs actually do. If it's not grading at a curve, what is it then?
5:45 I don’t believe that for a second. I don’t understand why people run away from having a political opinion when it’s impossible not to. As if that makes you better to pretend to be agnostic politically.
If they could do it over again then wouldn’t! Miami n Vanderbilt but telling kids to go to run down schools..I don’t think so
Michael Irvin well said.. you are the man
Michael, stop explaining yourself to this man. For one, he knows. I'll never have faith in John Edward Bayless no more.
It’s all about politics, ridiculous lol
Michael, Florida is not a tourist attraction because of diversity. It is an attraction because of its geographical location - beaches, weather. And even more so because it is a red state (was the #1 destination during the lunacy of covid). Do not twist the facts.
Because in florida. Diversity aka more latinos.
I will say this. Its odd that most of the players are black. They are ones making schools in florida profitable. Remember florida universities r horrible

If I was highly recruited, I wouldn't go to any Florida School? Let them find out the hard way.
THERE 4 HBCU'S available for students and student athletes to help grow
No good athlete will ever go to an HBCU those schools need to be banned
NAACP has lost a lot of credibility and are a joke 😂😂 supposedly they have a travel ban to Florida yet black folks love traveling to Florida and hasn’t stopped them from going
That's not smart your taking away opportunities from college kids doing that. Some extremely good schools and athletes that could benefit going to some of the D1 schools there, everything from coaching, weight rooms, draft capital, you could even be taking scholarships from kids that could be stars.
not to mention NIL deals that would be much better at the larger schools
It’s about time that the black athletes need to consider the HBCU’s more. The only reason the schools recruit black athletes from the hood and the sticks is to make generational wealth off their backs. The Hall of Fame is full of players who didn’t go to D1 schools and there are plenty of D1 athletes who didn’t make it to the professional level.
@charleswilliams6758 I can't speak on the reasons a school recruits athletes or the economy of businesses like college, but at high school and above I've never played on a team that the best players weren't on the field or court. A football team alone has 55 players and on the low end I'd bet 30 of those are black athletes you X that by the at least 7 D1 colleges I know of off hand (could be more I'm not positive) and that's 210 athletes your taking Scholarships from. It might not effect the top 200 in the country but top 1,000 athletes kids go from a D1 possible NFL or league minimums to an average $50K a year job (most likely) Seems like a bad idea to sell that to kids. it's just my opinion, I've played with D1 athletes and was 100% not on their level and would be devastated having it taken from me if I was good enough at that age.
@charleswilliams6758 and although kids can still make it at lesser schools most Draft picks in the 1st and 2nd even 3rd round are D1 athletes where they get more recognition and make more money for being drafted higher. It's just added pressure these kids shouldn't have to deal with.
You are wrong. Tell that to Walter Payton, Jerry Rice, and Mel Blount. Darn near every All-time great did not go to a Power 5 school.
Also, I have a coworker who was an All-SEC player. His school did not properly treat an injury because they wanted to keep him out on the field. He went to the combine and told him he had a serious injury. He ended up never playing a down in the NFL. Keep being blinded by the shiny lights and uniforms at these Power 5 schools. You will learn the hard way their dodo stinks too.
Sadly this is entire debate will fall upon millions of deaf ears. Money wins out… most but not all kids will choose money over logic or social issues. I see it first hand with kids I coach, some parents will push there kids through a fire burning house if they can come out the other side and receive money. One mom and father told their son he doesn’t have a choice on where he goes… because whoever is the highest bidder will win his services. I just shook my head and walked off thinking that poor kids parents are failing him tremendously😢. It honestly hurts where sports are headed in this current climate.
