I always hear the farming channels talk about tile , but this was a very detailed description , very interesting. Always enjoy Your videos.
Donald King thanks for watching!
Ben you did an excellent explanation for tiling. There are a lot of people that don’t know what tiling is about. Thanks for taking the time an effort, nice job. 👍🏻
Randall Harmsen glad it was informative!
Your new title, "the tile Professor ". So much information! Nice!
David Raaf I like it!
Very good job of explaining !
Notice Ben wearing the style hat that we can't get? Sold Out. Nothing like rubbing it in. LOL I see it as a great indicator of his success today and a forecast of future success. As a aging (62) farmer, I love seeing young farmers do well. Go get'em Ben!
Bill Whitman thanks bill! Maybe I’ll order more of this style!
The quality of your videos as information is really good, thank you so much. Not a farmer but feel I could show up at your farm and be a help instead of a boat anchor.
Thank you so much, dear Bro! Great Job & Video
Thanks for sharing and the information 😊👍. You have grown so much in the way you do your videos over the last year👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️
Budd 56 thanks!
😂Backer upper, not only a technical term but a fine art. No two running gear back up the same. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 You would demo a Case Quadratrac!!!!!!!!!!! The Johnnys tires would all go flat in sadness
Michael Stark I sure would!
My neighbor started soilmax and developed the leveling system. He is one heck of a smart, nice guy. Great video 👌
Good video.
I have never been so interested in farming lol and now I have passed "Tiling 101" lol, thank you Ben :) Very professionally done and a very good explanation for beginners. We need more Bandit...just noticed him resting on a jacket in your tiling video snippet :).
Ellen Lee he was laying at my feet this whole video. It’s also very hot, so I leave him with Wayne so he can be in the Air
Good video my friend.
This is interesting for the farmer intending to invest in a plow. For those who will contract tile drainage projects, the first video is likely adequate inforrmation. Believe most farmers devote their time to learning about the mechanics of tasks they themselves tackle w/ their own hands.
BILL UPSTATE NY that’s why I made this video. I wished there was one like it on the internet to learn about plows!
@@iowANFarmer Thanks to Ben, Now there is great content for farmer/contractor who desires to really learn the principles of tile drainage. To your point, my opinion is it is the responsibility of the PLOW manufacturers to post HOW TO videos, NOT the end user farmer.
@ 16:23...dICFICLTIES? I completely understand getting tongue tied!! lol...Great video!!!
Ben this is been excellent presentation I'm really impressed. And thank soil Max for contacting him and allowing him to use your plow and try out your system!
Mike Dillon it was an awesome experience!
Ben has posted other tile drainage videos, through the conventional open ditch excavator method. Randy the master tile layer has some you tube content, but his self-propelled (contained) equipment seemed ($$) & complicated & if I'm paying a contractor big $, why must I understand every step undertaken,? I just want results. This plow seems rather straightforward, most farmers DIY, could be proficient in a reasonable short time.
My mom is the head accountant for soil max, you have probably talked to her before😂
Another GREAT video Ben ! How do you decide how deep to install the drain tile ?... Grade /slope of the land ?
Six Toes multiple factor but your on track!
Again I learned a lot. Are you going to be a dealers? Would complement your Ag Leader.
Family Vlogs at this time, thats not the plan.
You pay for tile if you got it or not, decreased yields, getting stuck and farming around wet holes.
Just rescued another dog today, his name is Bandit.
memyselfand ifarmer great name for a dog!
Hi Ben, I realise you,ve just acquired the quadtrack which will no doubt far outperform a wheeled tractor but it looks to me from the video that the tyres are far to hard as there was little or no sidewall flexing , have you checked pressures or are they set at the mounting pressure which can be anything up to about 30 psi?
Have you ever thought about comparing deep ripping to tiling?
No
How well does heavy clay drain? Great video. What was your degree in, AG Engineering?
JBJ J no, that would have been interesting. All real life education here.
If your tile are totally in clay, they do no good for the area where clay is. They only transport water from the uptile area through the y.clay area. So if you are deep enough that most of the tile is in clay, you just wasted money@@iowANFarmer
Do you know if you can put intellislope on a wheel machine?
Austin Fearnow I don’t see why you can’t
Case rep sees this video and laughs so hard he cries... in case tears. ;)
Hroller McKnutt then my John Deere can burn them....
A lot of guys tile through their soybeans. Economically it makes a lot of sense, especially considering a farmer has a little more time to get it done after the crop is up and going. Some commercial tilers will even pay for the run over soybeans if the landowners let’s them tile through the crop. They can do this and still be profitable and keep crews busy during growing season
I believe that
If you get a Case, what will it run on? It certainly couldn't run on tears?
I hear they run on pure aggression.
If you use a case you better reinforce the hitch unlike a deere it can actually break something power to the ground nothing kills a deere faster then a magnum haahaahahhaahahahah or a parts bill from a box of green parts that will make you have a heart attack even faster hahahahahah
That one acre will pay u back in the long run....
