Excellent demonstration of forward planning and use of IKEA unit, well done big man. 👌👌 But sorry I'm going to have to mark you down for working in your stocking feet. Ive now got the age and have the cheek to tell customers that I'll put down plenty floor protection or boot covers but i wont work without safety shoes on. Your feet are more important to you than a carpet. Still great work as usual 👍 👌
Hi John🖐As usual with my jobs, it's always a rush, and you're right that working in your socks is not very professional😬Thanks, as always, for watching🤩Cheers
👍👌 I would normally on a 3 have the centre on the outer track, does the overlaps and easy to get handle either side. Don't suppose it matters much that you're reverse due to the stop. The prep should make this a doddle for you 😃
Hi there🖐You make a great point, and may well have put the center door on the outer track like you mentioned, BUT don't it the other way did allow me to get the wider IKEA unit in👍Appreciate your comment and thanks for watching 😎 Cheers Del
Because bypass sliding doors are the norm here. For wardrobes and cupboards. There are a number of companies that make all sorts of interior fit outs. I jamb my openings. And architrave the front. Standard here. Doors are just made to measure. So working out sizes isn't a problem. I also sometimes use kits from Ikea, or the like, for interior fit out. I can also buy pre made sizes, as a kit. But expensive way of doing it. And pointless as I can get made to finished size easily. That set up you have will certainly look the part. A lot of effort on your part to get the result.
Hi Wayne🖐I have the little, sub-compact Makita SDS drill, but it really is only for lighter type work, and it makes hard work of it in harder masonary and concrete😬 I can't really recommend any other Makita SDS drill, but try and go for one with as big an 'impact' rate as possible👍Cheers Del
This project looks like you've had to put a lot of your brain power into it before you've even started. I will be looking forward to watching it all come together. PS. You like myself might not no your way around a computer, but just concentrate on the carpentry. 👍👍👍
Hi James🖐Unfortunately I have painful arthritis in both my knees, back and hips, but also bone spurs have formed in my right hip which are very painful😔 Typical NHS has told me I can't have any stronger pain killers and avoid physical activity and use a stick when walking🤯Thanks for you concern🤗Cheers
Maybe its the camera but these only seem to be deep enough to hang stockings up in? But if that's your thing carry on fill your boots home owner 🙃but a very interesting install expert here Del for sure and a real life situation making the most of the limited space available for storage
Hi TC, spring is on its way Any cut roofing jobs ? I need to re-set due to a few health issues over winter and you on a roof would just do me nicely.......
Hi dell. Any reason for not putting a back into the boxed shelfed area you got from kitchen company? I did a wine rack recently thats sort of similar. Id send it to you if i could
Hi Dan🖐No backs in those shelving units purely down to wanting maximise every millimeter of depth, plus once fixed in place, they don't need a back for rigidity👊Cheers bud🤩
@thetallcarpenter great looking wardrobes. Can't wait to see how they turn out. Dell have you ever used or wanted to try a water level? I'm thinking about making one
