She tours all over America, last I heard she was worth $8 million. She even sings opera through the puppet. She blew the roof off the place with her performance in Las Vegas. She is one in a million. And still today she is humble and sweet, and does not have an egotistical bone in her body. Love her to bits.
One puppet is hard enough but two? She's so super talented

Terry Fator was the first ventriloquist to win AGT. He went on in 2008 to have a 5-year, $100MM contract in Vegas at the Mirage. which has been extended as he's still there. He became an idol for Darci, and has appeared with her. My wife and I went to see Terry in Tulsa, and he brought Darci in as a guest performer. Two top talents! If you get a chance, see some of Terry's work too.

Simon doesn't do the painfully harsh criticisms of performances anymore, having mellowed over the years. But he's still sparing with praise. So, when he gives praise to a performer, it carries weight.
Kabir, Darci Lynne won. And also won a one year contract to perform in Las Vegas.
Darci has also been in a movie with Cheryl Ladd "A Cowgirls Song" and co-wrote some of the songs. She was nominated for an award as best new comer support. It's on Netflix in the US.
I'm gonna say. She became herself a legend of AGT.

During the original broadcast of this, they showed the rest of the contestants backstage, and the comedian turned to the rest and said "so who wants second place?"
She has recently started singing a few songs without the puppets! And she puts out small sketches on CZcams with the puppets!
I love darci
I keep wondering how she can do the ventriloquism the speaking part seems really easy for her to do but how the heck does she sing so well without moving her mouth. It takes a lot to have a really good voice like she does and she doesn’t move her mouth. I don’t get it I’m so glad she won that year.
Her voice talent is great but her characters and comedy are great as well.
One of my favorite performances of all time on AGT is Light Balance. They didn't win but they were super stunning to watch
The cute factor was matched by her competition Angelica Hale. An 8 yr old with an amazing voice. You should check out her audition. I was rooting for Darci all season but wouldn't have been surprised if she'd lost to Angelica
so much kid talent that season. Celine Tam too!

If you think that Darci's ability to sing is impressive check out Terry Fator. He does impressions while singing (Michael Jackson, Brooks &Dunn,)
And was one of the earliest winners of AGT.
However Terry Fator called her the “perfect ventriloquist.” Also Terry can’t sing opera with his mouth closed, and neither he nor Jeff Dunham are brave enough to perform using the puppet and sticks.

I agree that she was the only real choice to win & I'd been saying that since I was watching it live & every1 thought I was crazy. They would say others would win don't get me wrong there was some great talents. Singers, magicians, comedians all forms of entertainers however she brought all of it together in 1 act. She was 1 of the best singers but unlike the others she did with out moving her lips & could do it in several voices. All while controlling the puppets movements & mouth. There were comedians she also was funny & had some jokes like the thing about a mouse & bunny singing a song by 2 beetles. There were also performances by dancers, circus troupes etc.. she also had the puppets as entertainment.
@Kabir Considers The interesting thing with the finals of that year's America's Got Talent is that it came down to two kids, Darci Lyne and Angelica Hale, so the cute and kid factors were eliminated and it came down to actual talent. Darci and Angelica are both great singers but Darci's ventriloquism is what really gave her the edge over Angelica. Darci and Angelica became friends during that season of AGT and Darci has had Angelica on her Las Vegas shows.
Any other year, and Angelica probably would have won
Her main competition was another young girl, but yeah Darci was way more unique.
Would win going against anyone but the year she won she narrowly beat out the ten year old (Angelica Hale) who sang like an angel

She didn't narrowly beat her. In fact Angelica only came in third. Light Balance came in second place.

I told you last year to check out Darci . At her age well it doesn't matter I think she's better than Jeff.
Their was another era , one where a ventriloquist had her own 1/2 hour TV show . Back in the 60s we had SHERRI LEWIS and Lamp Chop.
I remember Sherri Lewis and Lambchop. I thought of Sherri when I first heard darci Lynne. now that's a throwback

Honestly, I can see Darci getting her own show like Sherri Lewis. That may end up being her job once she is an adult and out of school.
7:38 she was up against Angelica Hale in these finals. Not sure if you have checked out any of her America’s Got Talent performances but if you havent you definitely should. She was an AMAZING 10 year old sing with such an adorable personality ❤️❤️❤️. Her performance of “Symphony” was amazing!
Yeah, that was one of the most competitive seasons of America's Got Talent. Darci deserved to win, but Angelica Hale would have just about any of the other seasons with one or two exceptions. There were several other very good acts too.

You should react to Shin Lim next. He won AGT in 2018 and he is a magician. I watched it in 2018 and the first time I saw him I was saying he's going to win and he did. React to his first audition and his final audition. He also won AGT The champions where it came down to him and Darci

You should check out agt act called tape face. On of the most unique and funny acts they've ever had
often times you don't have to win AGT to win. tape face has his own show in Vegas and so does piff the Magic Dragon
You mentioned Jeff Dunham she did a collaboration with him. It was a Halloween skit
She appears in the Haunted House on Dunham Hill.
She has other appearances with Jeff.
Paul Zerdin, an englishman, is another ventriloquist who won AGT. He has a great group of puppets

Excellent reaction. I will point out though that it was never a sure thing she’d win. No matter how good an act se3ms, there is a lot that goes into it. That year, there was also two other excellent child singers, Celine Tam and Angelica Hale, who was the runner up.

No she wasn't the only superstar that season Angelica Hale came in second. Any other season Angelica would have won
the problem with AGT and all other of these shows is that the prize is not given out in 1 shoot, the next gives it to them over 20years. And get taxed to hell and back. Do the math.
ALSO they are tied into a contract for the next year that they have to do tour dates for and DON"T GET PAID FOR.
The entire thing is a scam
Best ventriloquist is a Brit named Nina Conti who uses her audience as her dummies. 100% improv and her videos are all over CZcams.

The real hidden crime of these talent shows is the payout. The winner doesn't walk away with a million dollars. The prize is payable in a financial annuity over forty years, or the contestant may choose to receive the present cash value of such annuity. That works out as $25,000 a year for 40 years. Let me repeat that - $25k a year for FORTY YEARS!!!! Not quite the life changing amount it seems. As for how much the smaller lump sum is, that has varied over time based on tax rates. In Season 2, the lump sum was around $375,000. Then, of course, you have to pay taxes on that amount. The only real winner is the show.
The real prize is all the publicity and exposure from being on the show. You can get booked to appear many places if people have seen and liked you. $25,000 per year isn't life changing money. My initial reaction to Darci was that she was going to have a job headlining in Las Vegas for the next 60 years.
Why??? Just WHY ???? 😭

These shows are not even on the register of anyone other than kids... Millennials.
Her audience is young children to grand parents, if you are inclined check out her touring schedule. She has wide appeal the audience is filled with all ages.
