So I Wanted to take a moment and thank you for this recipe I made these for Christmas in Prague at my house where I had bohemian duck and a piece of prime rib and a blood orange fennel salad and the duck was great the prime rib was great and those bread dumplings were fantastic actually my vegetarian daughter-in-law took the extra two on with her so I’m cooking some more today and thank you thank you thank you for this recipe

I know about bread dumplings but I have never seen these before. I must try this recipe!
I prefer Serviettenknödel (napkin dumblings) to the bread dumplings as you don´t need to form separate dumplings and you can prepare these ahead a time. But the taste is quite similar. Hope you will give it a try and please let me know how it turned out.

Can you please recommend the best bread for this I am making roast duck for Christmas with these and stuffed cabbage is that a traditional Prague meal
I prefer to use baguette bread, that is 2-3 days old, but often use other white bread loafs too. I would not recommend pre-sliced bread.
