VW Passat B7 rear spring replacement

- Had to change a broken spring of 2012 Passat B7. Car was drivable, but some banging noises came time to time from rear and left. Also it was noticed that left rear was lower than right rear.

good evening friend, I have a Passat 2014 2.5 American, it has a broken spring and I want to know what is the normal common measurement to buy the part???😅😅
Hello. Really good question because there are lot of options on the market. Best to relay on VIN code and from the dealer who is able to check the correct lenght for your ride. Buy in pair and do both sides at same time, so it will not look tilted if there is some difference in height.

I have a 2015/64 estate in ‘Exec Style’ spec which is factory lowered by 15mm. Am I restricted to VW main dealers for new springs? ECP do not differentiate by offering shorter coil springs.
Hi, no clear answer for that from my side. As my self, I bought my springs from not VW main dealer but from average spare parts store. Also from looking online spare parts store there is seen different spec. of springs. Main difference in lengths and if they are meant to be for a car for towing or not.

@@patrickjones2985 VW uses colors dot on the spring to differentiate with spring uses each car. Knowing the colors the part number will show up on ETKA. From there it is easy to find the right spring online.
What did you spray on bolt and nut.
Hello. For opening the bolts some average universal lubeicant I had around. When putting things back together I sprayd copper grease. Should prevent rusting for future.

Плохая работа, при таком методе, 100% порвал сайлентблок на регулировочном болте, на другом конце рычага. Рычаг опустился слишком низко и на такой большой ход, сайлентблок не расчитан.Ты его порвал.
