    Do you require to do a wheel alignment after this job?
    Thank you in advance

      Yes, it is recommended to make an alignment adjustment after this replacement.

    Why do you spray the copper grease on the bolt heads? I've never seen it applied this way before, you're supposed to apply it to the threads so it doesn't rust up and seize.

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před rokem +2

      Copper grease perfectly protects against corrosion and sticking of parts: thus it will not allow the thread to turn sour and will facilitate dismantling during further replacement.

    Good video but you missed the torque setting for the hub to CV joint which I believe is 200Nm + 180 degs this is important!

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the clarification, the correct drive torque is 70 Nm + 90°

      This is the spacer that the car was retrofitted by the owner separately.

    I just got monroe shocks front for a vw passat 95. They are oil not gas but they do not return back when I push them all the way down they stay there. They are new is that a problem ?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  Před 10 měsíci

      Unlike gas shock absorbers, oil shock absorbers will not return to the top position on their own. It's normal.

      @@autodocuk thank you never installed these just gas but read they are more enjoyable and not hard as gas ones are.
