Yes, Angelina is really growing up! In these troubled times she brings us moments of joy and happiness. Her voice is maturing, giving her even more colours to the sound. Angelina has this way of taking us on a journey when she sings, each having our own destination, one day I hope to be able to find the words to describe that effect.

Wish her all the best and I hope Chelle will recover soon. Yeah the world is a mess with a lot of stress. Listening to beautiful music like this allows you to forget it all for a bit, relax and feel better. This song in particular is so so beautiful and it makes me happy to listen to and, as she sings it, makes me smile with my heart. She transports me 50-60 years back in the past to black&white TV.

This is my 69th time listening to this MASTERPIECE and each time I experience a new level of perfection by our ethereal prodigy extraordinaire, Angelina Jordan.
When you listen to the A cappella portions of this performance at the very end of the song you are truly experiencing the genius of Angelina Jordan’s PERFECT PITCH.
Sinatra, rest in peace Angelina Jordan, the Bare Foot Queen has taken the crown and there is nothing like her in the universe.
When I first heard her perform this I put it on pause and brought up Sinatra, Bublé, Streisand, Fitzgerald and Vaughan's version of this song to compare it to AJ version, and none of them moved me like this version. It is so hard to comprehend that Angelina from 7 to 16 is the greatest story telling being in my 74 years of experiencing great vocalist and I can't wait for the rest of the story.

These are small venues because she misses live performances. When she and her family are ready, Republic Records will begin unleashing her on the world, then concerts will be packed. Hoping Chelle is doing better.

A legend, but not one, we know from the past, but one growing in front of our eyes. So this is a really new story, which has no comparision, maybe exept MJ. But Angelina is even more versatile than him. Often people say, she sounds like Adele, like Amy and so on. But will it be possible, to say "...sounds like Angelina Jordan? Like which of the 1000 voices? And she is just 16. She is just unique.

I'm 67 and have heard a LOT of covers of this song, but none that I enjoyed as much as I do this one. Every time she does a cover she ruins the original. 😉
Liz, so glad to see you react to this latest performance by Angelina. IMO, although all are great, this one has something special. A beautiful grown-up Angelina on the outside, and a mature and seasoned Angelina vocal. She did things with her voice this time that we have not heard before, and it is taking her to a whole new level.
You mentioned peace and love. Angelina stated when she was a child that she wanted to be a singer to bring peace and love to the whole world. That is still her goal and she has already been doing it on a smaller scale. The moment we are all waiting for when she is released to the world should happen when she finishes school, sometime within a year or so. At that point we think Republic records will take the locks off and promote her very heavily.
You said at the beginning of your reaction that there's a lot going on in the world and that is an understatement. Angelina takes our minds away from that and transports us to a place where there is no conflict. It is just peace and love, and we and the whole world need that now.
I'd like to introduce you to something very special from Angelina that I'm pretty certain you have not seen. It has been reacted to by a few, but not a lot. It is something you will not forget and will likely stir up a lot of emotion, and give us all hope for the future. It is an interview that Angelina did on Norwegian TV when she was 9 years old. I don't want to tell you any more at this point. She then performed unchained Melody after her interview. They are two separate videos and I'm going to provide you links here and request that you react to them. I can assure you it was one of the most beautiful things ive ever seen and it brought tears to this 67-year-old guy.

This is the voice we all knew she would eventually have and to think it will only get better! This is her most "mature" voice yet, imo and I think that is what you were trying to express. If you haven't seen it already, there's a Norwegian interview on Lindmo (with English CC) that has Angelina (age 8) talking about the book she wrote about why she goes shoeless in performances. This also makes Angelina the youngest published author in Norway. It's a wonderful video, in which Angelina also shares her diary written at the time (age 6). Angelina just has something special. While I have always liked jazz instrumentals I have never been a big fan of jazz vocals. Not that someone like Billy Holiday, one of Angelina's inspirations as a youth, doesn't sound pleasant to me; she and others like her just don't excite me. Angelina just adds something of herself that goes beyond her ever-increasing vocal control and technique. Maybe Sinatra had the same effect on me although his work sounds dated now while Angelina sounds current even when singing such an old-time jazz standard.
Check out...Betty Carter's phenomenal version of " SPRING CAN REALLY HANG YOU UP THE MOST ". I always wished Angelina would do this one.
