I had the same experience. The UPI registration was impossible to do. Luckily the shopkeeper was good enough to try this out in the shop itself. He tried his best for over an hour, but it wasn't possible and he refunded the money.
Bad phone. Use only as a normal feature phone (you'll get better ones for this price). The UPI facility advertised is a scam and Nokia should stop advertising it until they've fixed it.

Sir, currently I am using this phone and must say that it is the best device for UPI payment till date.... May be the sim you are using in this device be linked with multiple banks and you can't decide the particular cif number to get linked... it's it's choice to recognise the cif number....all you need to do...try every cif number(different banks linked with it) in order to get registered... personally i change my bank registered mobile number with a new sim card which had not been registered with any bank before and then it registered my UPI account with in a minute..and then I just needed to add my debit card details and a six digit pin code as per my wish... Some people may differ with me but it actually works faster and simpler than Android UPI payments...scan and pay feature works like icing on the cake ...

Your comment is the reason why it is not suitable for UPI. It should be a simple process. Why the hassle of changing number in bank etc. I understand it will work but changing number in the bank and getting a new sim is not the ideal solution for everyone

@@GadgetGig may be it's quite different for some people but once is done it will work like butter ... don't you need to install multiple applications for different bank... Can you regulate your sbi account by HDFC app Or axis account by SBI yono app ...look it's basically for those people who want to use UPI facility in feature phone and want to pay/recharge the least for this service...as a lower middle class boy it's really tough for me to get my phone reached with internet pack every month ...but now I just hv to recharge the sma pack which benefits me to save more than 2500 rupees in a year and one more thing an Android phone may cost you 10k to 15k but nokia 110 4G is just 2100 rupees...
