That’s just a Utah thing I think, I’m from a different state and instead of parallel parking we have to do a meneuvrability test through cones that are much closer than the ones in the video
I drove my mom's BMW 4 series convertible, and the driving instructor let me put the top down and take the test like that on the nice summer day it was.
In 1965 I took my test in a < 10 second ,2 door 63 Chevy 11 with supercharged 427 BB with a full roll cage, wheelie bars and a chute pack from a jet fighter. The first words out of the inspectors mouth was,,," Is ths thing even legal and what's that sticking out of the hood "? Of course I said ,,it has a inspection sticker ,right? Not really sure he actually believed me , but I passed and 3-4 years later he was still smiling about that test ride when I ran into him at a car show. He told me it was the coolist car he'd ever given a test in. I'm 70 now and still own that very same car and it's now EVEN FASTER than back in the day. So the next time with the same guy I just didn’t go right on red at all and he gave me the lowest possible grade for observation because of it, despite me checking my mirrors every 5 seconds the whole time.

I drove my mom's BMW 4 series convertible, and the driving instructor let me put the top down and take the test like that on the nice summer day it was.
I passed my driving test in a hyundai. However, if it was up to me I would want the Lykan Hypersport.
In 1965 I took my test in a < 10 second ,2 door 63 Chevy 11 with supercharged 427 BB with a full roll cage, wheelie bars and a chute pack from a jet fighter.
The first words out of the inspectors mouth was,,," Is ths thing even legal and what's that sticking out of the hood "?
Of course I said ,,it has a inspection sticker ,right? Not really sure he actually believed me , but I passed and 3-4 years later he was still smiling about that test ride when I ran into him at a car show. He told me it was the coolist car he'd ever given a test in.
I'm 70 now and still own that very same car and it's now EVEN FASTER than back in the day. As you can guess,,,I never did really grow up,,,LOL!

Ian Paschal that happened to me during my test. I took a right on red during one of my tests and the guy said I ran a red and failed me. So the next time with the same guy I just didn’t go right on red at all and he gave me the lowest possible grade for observation because of it, despite me checking my mirrors every 5 seconds the whole time.
