  • Third anime figure event in 3 months, this time around, more new anime figures were announced in Wonder Festival Shanghai. Azur Lane simply dominated this figure event, while Genshin Impact is nowhere to be seen. There were many interesting new figure brands from China appearing, making stuff that seem really appealing so the anime figure market keeps getting more interesting. Fortunately my wallet is very safe this round.

I'm just now going through these Wonder Festival videos because the playlist was toooo long haha. That being said, I preordered one of the bunny girl figures from Infinity Studio off of Big Bad Toy Store. They are 1/7 scale and I thought the couch was really nice. They only cost $82 each and you can combine the couches. I thought the price was really good so I hope the figure comes out nice!

35:58 that oh yes, man of culture~ 🤝Hardly found any manufacturer that actually can remake the similar kind of vibe from those "cultural" anime, hope fully they can bring up the vibe for this figures!

28:30 Sora Nani Iro is an artist that I believe exclusively does elf illustrations. I have a Sora Nani Iro elf figure from Vibrastar PO’d that’s set to drop this month come to think of it

Nice! Enjoy man, and stay safe. To me, travelling to Thailand is very dangerous nowadays because there are so many reports of kidnapping of tourists. Human trafficking. Take care and be alert when taking Uber or Grab.

The event is quite lame for me. There are only 2 Garage-kit figures manufacturers. There is no official figures brands and new figure announcement. I hope there will be more Garage-kit next time 😢

Too many Azure Lane and Girls' Frontline figures? No problem for my wallet, thankfully. ;)
Solarain's Colors:BLUE looks so good. I am sorely tempted.
I am glad they are making other characters aside from Kaori. I love her but I want figures of other characters too like Kousei and Tsubaki.
    Great video, as always!

Some interesting figs. But honestly I do not like these figures with too much detailed and complicated stands. I am the type of guy who wants the figure of the character and I do not want to pay the double price for stand. Lots of people love intricate stands, I am more into simple and well looking characters.

Chaesu getting a SECOND figure is absolutely beautiful, I've already preordered his other Minah figure, this will make a fine addition.
GFL's VSK-94 and casual wear UMP45, 9 and 40 go SO HARD, they are amazing, got me reevaluating my priorities. DISH is winning so hard too.
The Snail Shell Figures will be really interesting if they have a good price, you could fit a lot of 1/12ths in a small space. Got me interested too.

I'm very attracted to the UMP casual wear figures. And i do believe they will be quite affordable

@@EXkurogane is there any indication of when the UMP and Snail Shell figures will become available? Stuff like the BA pop ups are already up for preorder on AmiAmi

@@SerpensRgn if it is already painted, it could be anytime within a month or two. Those unpainted ones, however, only God knows. This figure Orchid Seed used to delay an unpainted figure for 5 years even in the past but i believe it won't be so bad for a new brand who wants to get products out to build their reputation 😅

This was indeed a good event. I personally got the Blue COLORS one figure from Solarain, and only thing I did not like was the figure assembly once you're trying to unbox her. A friend of mine got a back luck and ended up breaking one of the parts, I believe it was a topic back then when the figure came out, but the figure is indeed amazing. Did you notice the Ruru article covers the life size version one? x))). As for Azur lane's fans I believe there's still preorders out there for Cheshire's figure at Orzgk page, which is a complete figure and not action one, guess it's a good option too ^^ . Also these figures Su Jiu and Yueli they are part as well from another 2 bunny figures you covered in your past video too , and they are part of a big bunny set x)) haha.
Personally the Bunny figure from Mataro's is my personal favorite. If you check the previous works in cooperation with this artist, the figures made are absolute fantastic. It is a good artist to follow. Good video overall !

    • @EXkurogane

Singapore - possible. Malaysia? Will never happen. Being a Malaysian myself, i will go as far to say Malaysians don't deserve it. Let me explain.
For us who are enthusiastic about figures and will throw money at genuine stuff, we are a very small minority of the local Anime community. The majority of Malaysians are just pretty cosplayer simps who contribute nothing to the anime and game industry over in Japan.
Supporting local artists and cosplayers is an excellent thing to do, but at the very same time they will buy counterfeit merchandise and figures. They aren't helping the anime industry. We are quite the experts in violating intellectual property rights in general. There has been occasions in the past where Malaysians were also caught recording in cinemas when there is an Anime film playing.
We have had Anime conventions in the past where art, figures and other things not cosplay related are a main focus. Visual Arts Expo was one example. Most of these events have inferior numbers in terms of crowd turnout compared to Anime conventions centered around cosplays, and most recently, vtubers.
And of course, lots of Malaysians can't afford sheet. We are very underpaid no matter which sector you work in as a career. So there's that.
And one last thing, if figure companies display sexy figures in public events someone will try to stir the pot, create drama and eventually get politics and religion involved, so no thank you. I don't want wonder festival or Megahobby Expo in Malaysia. Do it in Singapore or Thailand and I'll head over there instead.

Conservative aunties are the bane of cosplayers everywhere in Asia, well maybe except Thailand, they are more progressive in that aspect 😁
Btw nice coverage in regards to Azur Lane, the Shanghai Anigift figures are fire! @@EXkurogane
