Don’t try it for the falling blocks in Egg Fortress, though, I think that traps you if you get caught underneath it
The water power also allows you to survive, getting crushed by non-spiked objects. I don’t know why they didn’t mention that. It’s the only thing that gives it a reason to be used outside of two levels.

The time and avatar emerald power are definitely going to be useful against bosses
Time power would be a lot better for them if all the bosses weren't about waiting out their attacks to land a single hit during their vulnerability window

Honestly, the narrator's voice in this video is a great voice for Classic Sonic. It fits him.
Emerald synopsis:
Blue - Great for bosses
Red - Breaks the game in half
Purple - Hilariously situational
Cyan - Useful once. Also saves you from being crushed… but not spikes for some reason.
Green - Also situational. Slows game to a crawl.
Yellow - Cool idea, but for some reason doesn’t slow down all environmental hazards or auto scrolling level speeds.
White - Should’ve probably been included with characters default moves.
It might’ve also been very helpful if you could assign emeralds to controller bumpers.
So yeah, they’re pretty neat. Would love to see this gimmick come back in future games.
Surprised they didn’t even mentioned that Trip’s Super form is a LITERAL dragon!!! But overall, pretty nifty episode with the Chaos Emeralds.

I'm curious to see if Emerald Powers like in this game will be in modern games. This will change things a lot. Can Shadow harness these powers? Shadow can use Chaos Control unlike any other character. But this might change things.
Either way, these Emerald Powers look cool.

Imagine we see the Chaos Rings come back
Maybe, but I think that they're only a one time use. Imagine if the Chaotix manage to use the power of the Chaos Rings like the Chaos Emeralds to take down a certain final boss. Then the Chaos Rings power will drain out and disappear like the other gray rings. As for how the Chaos Rings existed at one point I think that it's from where at one point the Super Emeralds revert back into the Chaos Emeralds and that the power must've transfer into the six chosen rings. I also think that after Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the Chaos Emeralds must've unlocked their powers/abilities after reverting from the Master Emerald.
that's probably not gonna happen.
My imagination brings upon a game that would be for a Knuckles games that takes place on Angel Island, open world, like Botw you could just gun for Robotnik from the beginning, or you could explore to find the Chaos Rings that were scattered across Angel Island because of Eggman

Edit: I finally got this game, beated it on main story and im currently doing trip story, I got frustrated many times but I love this game!

Wait for it to drastically drop in price, there are way better games out worth your money, the game is somewhat underwhelming and its best parts is okay at best, not a bad game but having the correct physics (which is the bare minimum) is all this game has going for it, any other 2D classic Sonic is above this one.

The only gripe with the emerald powers is that they last a pretty short amount of time, for example, extra, and you and your friends cant use the same ability at once. This is understandable for abilities like avatar, ivy, vision, and slow, but bullet, water, extra, and super shouldnt be locked to one player at a time.
