The reason people get confused is because of the pivot point. If a person physically turns around, they do a 180 turn. But as the pivot point to the laptop is at the halfway mark, it makes a full 360
I was trying to understand why people were calling it a 180° and I feel like your explanation is spot on. Probably they heard so much that turning to a completely opposite direction is doing a "complete 180°" and not a "complete 360°" that they internalized the concept but didn't even ask themselves why.
There’s something interesting here: frame of reference. The hinge at the center completes a full circle, but the orientation has flipped. Think about turning over a coin from head to tails (180°). Think about putting a coin next to that which you also flip over. Your laptop here starts out as two coins, with the heads side touching. (Tails-tails facing out). Take the top coin off, flip it, and slide it under the other coin. The top coin now has changed by a single 180 degrees, and reflects the state of how your laptop is. In this case, it semantically can be either.
No, the two connecter don’t complete full circle, but half a circle making it 180 degree laptop. Both hinges, the two connected to screen and the two connected to keyboard have there hinge ie a center of axis witch they independently of each other rotate around 180 degrees it. I hope I make sense.
@@primodesmile634 off course it counts, you can’t even do any degree of rotation without it. Tbf, there is a LOT of people in the internet that keep saying 360 instead of 180
Indirectly saying "Yes I know more maths than Samsung engineers"
I could argue that's 358°
That's what I thought too!!
360 sounds cooler
Why is everyone talking about its rotation and not the keqing phone? The phone looks sick I LOVE IT!!
Maybe because that's not the main topic
Because not everyone plays wafiu games or thinks abt them?
lol I did comment on the phone summoning the fandom. 😂
they’re thinking it’s 360 from the open 90 and not from the closed 0.
I can see why people are confused and think its only 180, does not change the fact they are wrong. But i can see where the mistake is coming from
technically it's 359° because you don't end at the point you started
I remember when every reputable company stopped doing this when people realized there was no benefit to this
I love 360 laptops since I'm a musician, and I have always wanted one to use as a sheet music reader/writer
It's more useful in theory than in practice. The only people who really use the 360° function could just use a tablet and occasionally attach a keyboard.
It's useless to 95 percent of people but that other 5 percent really appreciates it
@@JustAnotherPercsame, they're so useful
I've owned one, it has very niche uses that I did find helpful for, but I used it for that so rarely it basically was a useless feature, it was kind of a bonus because I bought the PC for the specs, price point, and manufacturer, but I wouldn't ever buy on for that feature specifically.
ok look what do we even need to do with a 360 degrees laptop
not surprised
they are the same people who does the 180° dance trend in tiktok 😅
Technically it's less than 360° because the main body blocks it so it's more like 355°
☝️🤓
Lol
Thanks mate, we didn't know about that
Well yes but no because if it was 355 it would be slightly slanted but it's instead parallel to the screen so it is 360 degrees but not a perfect rotation as the hinge allows for two centres of rotation☝️🤓
@@akdbi second this
Bro the keqing phone looks amazing 😮😮
It's not keqing, her pose isn't like that.
@@CosmicHase, it is.
@@Bile_Spewer no it's not the hair is different too.
@@Bile_Spewernvm, you're right
@@CosmicHase confidently wrong
Some people just failed math class
once you put the screen behind the keyboard, one could argue that it takes 180 degrees to flip from facing the keyboard to looking the screen. But yes I agree with this man in general.
bro has the keqing phone 💀
Did you know i have a tartagia watch
It’s wild that some people make arguments without understanding 4th grade math
Those commentators probably never even attended math class, because they are not old enough to do it.
Bro that's 358 degrees the keyboard stopped it from getting back to where it was 😅
