  • This Must Be The Gig | Episode 68 | Consequence of Sound Radio | Interview with Mike Patton | September 18 2019
    * Interview STARTS AT 2:36
    " Mike Patton on Joining Faith No More, finding inspiration from Tom Waits, and being yourself.
    One of the greatest rock vocalists shares his philosophy behind honest experimentation. "
    The full program is roughly an hour in length, but Patton is only on for about 30 minutes. I tried to trim it down to mostly just the actual interview part. You can listen to the rest of the full podcast at consequenceofs...

    The host had no idea what to do with him:)The most honest man on earth. I love how, after all this years Patton stayed truthful to himself and kept being that shuffle guy, ready to accept, learn and experiment like a child. Hats down for his coolness and wisdom.

    Funny to watch an old Patton interview and come to this. As a kid I thought he was so cool but now I just feel kinda bad for the interviewers back then. His talent has always shone but now he's got the personality to back it up and I like him more for it.

    And a funny observation....I found maybe far, but still an analog of Patton's shuffled way of jumping into genres. That's Tarantino but in making films:) As Mike, he's self-taught and had that hunger, digesting everything in the video store he was working in...By today he remembers every phrase in the movies he saw and he continues to watch everything...:)
