BIG BINARY BRAWL! Adeptus Mechanicus vs Imperial Knights Warhammer 40k 2000 Point Battle Report

- Ad Mech are back baby! In the very orange corner, Chris takes the helm of the Adeptus Mechanicus, it's been a hot minute since we had them on the channel and who better to re-debut against than Tom helming the Imperial Knights for a big old battle of metal, oil and binary blurts.
On the Imperial Knight side, stocked up with 3 big boys - the Crusader, the Gallant and the Castellan backed up by a handful of little Armigers. With the dataslate changes and the ability for Titanic models to do actions and still shoot, there's going to be a bunch of changed coming to the Knights in the near future, but we thought we'd see how they perform as it stands!
With the Ad Mech, we have daddy Cawl leading up the force, a bunch of Rangers, some transports, tanks, more tanks, breachers and the BRUTAL robots all trying to work in synergy to bring down some big Knights!
2000 points of Warhammer 40k 10th edition, let's see how things play out. What a great game! I love a golem story, so my headcannon for this battle is that the knights were there for maintenance and the machjne spirits revolted and took the facility. :) Looking forward to the new mechbois in a few.

Wow the army with the bad rulebook loses what a fucking surprise. The only option in the entire codex for enough lethal hits to take down those big knights would have been 3 blobs of 6 kataphron breachers with a manipulus. The only other way for Admech to win is spamming a ton of cheap chaff all over the place and hoping the knights couldn't kill them off fast enough to take the objectives back. Admech literally lost before the game started because bad rules paired with a bad list for the matchup.
Ah man, sometimes it’s fun to play the stuff that’s a bit pants to see how well you can do! Ironically, they smashed twice during our practice games, but both times the ad mech went first and managed to flood the mid field - so I think that’s definitely what you hope for. We’ll have them back to try some different matchups
