  • Welding the last two pieces I know of that I have forgotten then just put off. Next up is bedliner on the bottom of the car before it comes off the rotisserie and onto a shop made body cart for 2K primer.

Great advice Robert on not putting things off as it relates to enjoying life. Car is looking great!

Thanks. It will be showing visible progress soon then there will be more work on the shop insulation project since we are already hitting 100 and will be 104 next week for a few days.
Mom had never been out of the country and she has been retired for several years and after hearing how much we enjoy Greece she said I want to go and to get it all planned. I wish she would have done it years ago but she did allot of pre trip walking and did really well. Tough first day and she took a long nap every day which helped allot.
Will have to put pics in from the Athens car museum into a video here and there.

So you’ve made your decision to paint the car off the rotisserie. It’s going to look like a car rolling around upright. After your trip you are sounding less infernal. 🤓
OEM Betsy had body color on the apron connectors if you are wondering.
    It’s looking so good…

I wouldn't say I'm painting it off the rotisserie yet... It may go back on after I am able to do the tail panel and get 2K everywhere.
Had a great time with mom on the trip and she was just amazed at everything the whole time. The first morning there I did not have a good day... But it was a nice relaxing trip and I didn't want to come home.
Those apron pieces are a real pain. Nothing works well to avoid masking. I have seen most have the upper cowl body color and the connectors go either way. May be a plant, year, month or day of the week specific thing.
Back to scuffing up the floor with a scotchbrite. That's rough on the fingers and hands with all those odd shapes. Will have your latest video going on the tv in the shop. I just wonder how many screw ups and redos I will have on the paint on the 66. I kind of would like to get the El Camino over here and get it painted (and sold) before I paint the Mustang.

I built my car dolly so that the car is about 20 inches off the floor

Sounds like a good number. Before I had it on the rotisserie I had it on stands at around 24" which was a little on the high side.
