Thank you very much for the detailed video. Was worried about tackling this on myself- picking up the tools and going to hit this project next weekend
You got it!
Awesome video! Doing this on my 76 ch7 8.8 swap
Good to see ya back! I'm in the middle of an 8.8 swap so I appreciate ur content. Congratulations on yalls baby! We jus had our son 2 months ago, so I'm right there with ya
Thanks congrats to you too!
Nice job.I bought this kit for my 8.8 that I am building for my Jeep Cherokee.I was just going to buy the axle shafts but decided to go with this kit instead.I have a Eaton TrueTrac and 4.56 gears that I am installing also.
Thanks, I'd like to build another XJ at some point and would do TrueTracs again too
I have the TrueTrac in the rear and A Yukon Grizzly locker in the front....
extremely helpful video, I'm doing the same thing - the visible machined surface on the end of the shaft after pressing on the bearings would've thrown me for a loop. Thanks for sharing!
No prob!
Great video! I'm in the middle of a 8.8 swap as well. I would like to do this mod in the future, but for now its going to be 8.8 posi 4.10.
Thanks! Trying to find the time to finish my regear, about halfway done.
Lots of har work, but it will be worth it in the long run. Congrats on the upcoming baby
Thank you!
@@HardEarnedBacon you're welcome
Great tutorial, thank you! Does the shaft require a slide hammer to remove it if you need to do some carrier work?
Thanks! I pulled them out after this video was done and I did not need to use the slide hammer. But they may be a little more "sticky" to remove once they are installed with the RTV.
Might be able to fix my 8.8 now
Whats wrong with it?
@@HardEarnedBacon blew an axel bearing and damaged the housing
@@barrykennedy8760 Dang! Yeah this could be a good option for you.
Its almost been half a year since upload, any leaks?
None yet 🤞
