Magnets is a very Nintendo idea. I'm kinda down, honestly. That could be great
There's already some Switch-like consoles that use magnets, it's not like Nintendo invented that technology

*THE NINTENDO SWITCH ATTACH*
Although Switch 2 sounds better, if I know Nintendo they might not do that.
after a while this pile of leaks and rumors are boring, I would like facts
Yup. If it was set to release this year, Nintendo would've said something by now.
@@ItsDubba Lmao
If Nintendo didn’t call it the switch two they would probably name it like how they named the future DS’s where the name just gets more elaborate.
Suprised they are going back to the old Magnet concept.
"we experimented with magnets, but they didnt work, the system would just fall right out of your hands."
-Koizumi, 2017
Well, it's been 7 years maybe now It works
They probably figured out away to make it work now like how new phones have magnetics
That magnetic clip shown at the end is used for the Pokemon Go Plus + which is already out. It will most definitely not have anything to do with the Switch 2.
Came here to say that
Switch is PS3 Plus, so Switch 2 is PS4 Plus is more than enough for me as a Nintendo fan since GameBoy Pocket ❤❤❤
Actually Koizumi said they made a prototype for magnetic joycons in a Nintendo Minute interview back in 2017 (but it didn't go well). Maybe they figured it out.
I don't really like the idea of Joy Cons being attached magnetically, makes it sound like they'll fall off way too easily.
Heh, *attach*
Doesn't mean that it can't have any additional parts to help them stay locked in place.
Magnets
Switch Attach sounds good name now
The magnetic clip shown in the video looks like the one that comes with the Pokémon Go plus+
The Legends Z-A trailer says releasing simultaneously which may mean something for the next Nintendo console… :/
That would be so stinking cool if the Switch 2 has magnetic controllers.
Who said it would be a switch 2? I get it but legit we have never got a Nintendo console that’s exactly the same as the previous console but better. For example. The ds is cool. And the 3ds evolved it while still being its own thing. The Wii had its sequel as the Wii U which was drastically different. So I doubt whatever is coming will just be “Switch 2”
"not gonna hold my breath," and Plessie dives underwater.
I highly doubt they’ll go back to the magnet concept tbh
If it's not directly reported by Nintendo themselves, I don't believe any of the rumors of a Switch 2 - excuse me, an updated version of the Switch.
That patent they showed is for the clip on the Pokemon Go Plus+ is it not?
Just because they start manufacturing the switch 2 in 2024 doesn’t mean it releases in 2024
Guys my switch 2 quit working [i wonder why...] [oh yeah magents can DESTROY Electronics]
I really hope that if there is a big Nintendo direct this year that presents the Switch 2, I really want to see it
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a "Switch Pro" and the Switch 2 is in fact coming later
Honestly, if it’s not OLED, I don’t want…
Same
What?
Good for you. But i’m fine with a LCD screen, i just hope the new console is backwards compatibility with all the switch games.
You could connect the dock to a OLED screen though
Then don't buy it. Dumb.
Magnets would be such an obviously bad idea for an electronic device, not to mention the issues with them detaching, that I would be surprised if that’s what it is. It’s not like there’s anything wrong with the current method.
It can work recent iPhones have been using magnetics so there shouldn’t be issues if done right
Vandal isn't a very reliable source, apparently. Plus, Nintendo tried out magnets as the mechanism for attaching the Joy-Con when they were developing the original Switch, and they just did not work well - the Switch unit would fall from the controllers in the middle of using the system, even. Why would Nintendo abandon the rail system, which works well, is intuitive, and was used as the basis for the brand identity of the Switch, in favor of something they already found didn't work last time? Even if a breakthrough actually allowed magnets to work well...why even bother?
Apparently Vandal is a reliable source though
The Switch Attach is looking even better
This does sound interesting. Although, I feel hungry for Nintendo to make another new full regular Nintendo Direct and we should have already had another one by now, especially in this year (2024).
Nintendo doesn't have much to show because they're saving resources for the next system.
You've been saying we'll find out soon since january it's now almost may....
Pyoro has talked about so it should be really close now his sorce just wasn’t allowed to confirm the information to him
Haven’t seen anybody mention this yet, but I sincerely hope the current Pro Controller is NOT compatible, or if it is it’s only compatible for backward compatibility. Making the current Pro Controller compatible indicates Nintendo has no intention of utilizing analog triggers. This was one of the worst decisions made for the original Switch console. I wish Nintendo would go back to GameCube style analog click triggers. They don’t need to have as much travel as those did, but that function makes them so versatile. I love how the adaptive triggers on PS5 can emulate this function as seen in the game Returnal. Not going to lie I think adaptive triggers are the best controller innovation since the analog stick, and would love to see Switch 2 get it but I’m sure Sony has the patent on lock for that. But I digress, Nintendo needs to bring back analog triggers in some form for their next gen
They’re not going to because they don’t want to risk being sued again
"nintendo is a very letigious company" - fleekazoid.
Analog triggers aren’t even that good. I like tactile triggers better
If the Pro Controller is backwards compatible that might mean Nintendo will just add a headphone jack and it would be an 11/10 controller (because it's already a 10/10)
I hope the magnets rumor is not true, as a person with a Pacemaker, we wouldn't be able to use them
That's a huge issue! I also can see an issue with these magnetic joycons destroying hard-drives as well (& they erase tapes & paycards, too, not good!).
@@amandamakin1542 can also affect computer screens and TV screens if they are close to them may even affect the switch screen as well
What is pacemaker?
@@cheerful_crop_circle A Pacemaker, is basically a backup battery for hearths with chronic problems, who can't keep the beats at a normal rate, so it helps preventing cardiac arrest, a Pacemaker is electronic so nearby Magnets can interrupt their functionality
Is The New Switch 2 Shuff Now is Ultimate Real One
Remember back in the day when you couldn't bring magnets anywhere near electronic equipment (or so we were told)? These days we have a much better way to answer the age-old question "f***ing magnets, how do they work?"
I’m just waiting for Nintendo’s Q4 2023 financials to come out.
Sticking to my late 2025 / early 2026 release window prediction. DO NOT expect Switch 2 this year.
You can call me crazy and regret it later 😊
Strong magnets instead of the stupid sliders that break so easy would be nice. Also Hal-effect joysticks please Nintendo. And convex and concave buttons with pal-snes colors please. Also more comfort on grips and actual triggers.I think these things would make the joycons the best
Magnets on console sounds like a death sentence. Unless its like the whole Skylanders Swap Force thing where magnets can't hurt the NFC chip under all that plastic.
Definitely sounds officially accurate to me
The current pro controller will be compatible?
Thank goood
It's called the Pimax Portal.
You haven’t made your 10 years videos public again
Let's hope that Nintendo will that Switch 2.0 will still let us play the games we have for the new model with smoother graphics and maybe some system features included from the Lite and OLED with some newer ones in the process
Switch 2 is a full-blown successor, not a hardware revision.
What I want is backwards compatibility
Even with backwards compatibility, I'm pretty sure that a lot of third parties would re-release the games they watered down on Switch by releasing the uncompromised PS4 versions instead but that also means that games released on Switch as "cloud versions" would be ported natively on the next system.
Magnet? Come on, it's quite a terrible idea.
Magnets that could hold the Joy-cons to the Switch 2 console would be a neat idea. However, I’m not thrilled that we probably won’t be able to use original Joy-cons with this system. Those are expensive controllers to buy and own.
The joycons will probably be compatible wirelessly but you just wont be able to use them in handheld mode but since the console will come with its own joycons anyway it probably doesnt matter. If it will be backward compatible with pro controller then it should be backward compatible with og joycons too. So you can use the new joycons that console comes with in handheld mode and the extra joycons you have for extra players.
That magnetic clip is the pokeball plus+
why do i have a feeling the magnet is gonna be a problem
same
I don’t think it would iPhones have magnetics and there is no issue like there are special magnetic charges now so I think Nintendo can make the joy cons connect with magnetics
I don't think magnets will be good for the flash base internal storage memory, unless there's a protected shield or something.
I think it depends on how it’s built like there is no issues with iPhones using magnetics there are changers that iPhones can connect to with magnetic so Nintendo should be able to use magnetics on joy cons
Until announces Switch Successor official F all these leaks and rumors 🤬
Please no, it sound cool but a physical trail is just way more safe.
Oh yeah, the Switch Pro Controller being usable again sounds fantastic. Always enjoyed that controller a lot. Easily the best triggers of its generation.
Why hasn't the codename leaked yet?
I am against the use of magnets near electronic devices
iPhones have magnetics with chargers so it can work
The new console better bring back streetpass/spotpass and playcoin in some form and improve on it also the Miis not the boring thing we got now
I doubt anyone would use these features.
@@lol-ih1tl 😂 yes we will because it a great features and fun
@@kiethomastephen2206 most 3DS users didn't use these features.

I'm just more interested in the supposed games that will come out on Nintendo's next console. I mean, I can assume we'll see a new Mario, perhaps Metroid Prime 4 will be a cross-generational game like how Breath of the Wild was a WiiU and Switch game. But I'm actually more interested in the third-party titles that will arrive on launch or the first months
I heard Nintendo is done with Mario. Apparently they have explored everything they can do with it
what if they had an internal delay bc they found that their new Gen controllers had drift again 😭 or prolly cuz launch title isn’t ready idk 🤷♂️
I don’t think that’s the reason it’s probably because they just don’t want people to expect it so they just haven’t announced it because of leaks
@@hoppie4263 nah this was an internal delay. something must have happened. Pushing the date back just makes more leaks happen 😂
Don’t think it’s coming in 2024, a reveal tho is a high chance.
I guess we'll see.
They need to find a way to show immediatley that Switch 2 is different to the previous one, and having magnetic joy-cons to get rid of the Switch 1 iconic **click** sound is a good idea !
Lol
Abiously coming Next year because Nintendo Show us This First Trailer About For This Year Dropping in October Because It's The Same Previously Happening the original Switch First trailer in october 2016 by the way.
Ngl after what nintendo has done to get rid of stuff nintendo related on steam and are so picky about piracy eventhough they don't sell the games anymore, I'm a little upset on how they turned out these past few years and the fact I'm usually never on my switch anymore, I'm just not looking forward to the new console if its gonna be a better deal of a switch.
Out of date think still end of year like summer or Christmas. Half of year to odd in year of something.
Hmm if they use magnets then what should they name it?
Nintendo Switch Attach (it fits but is awkward)
Nintendo Snap (cos magnets make a snap sound when put into place...but snap also means break so probably not the best)
Nintendo Attract (magnets attract, though attract has sexual connotations, not very family friendly, may as well call it Nintendo Rizz)
Nintendo Force (name of magazine but also magnetic force. Also force is a strong word and sounds a bit aggressive)
I honestly don't know what they can name it.
I'd call it Nintendo Click, similar to snap, but because i have a firm theory that you'll need to "click" on something to attach/unattach these magnetic joy-cons
Rumors are freaking joke at this point. I've had fun speculating but when we've been working with nothing but unconfirmed information, nothing has "changed."
Sorry, just tired and agitated. Move along and let's have a good time talking about potential future console features~

I could technically see the potential for the system to still come out in 2024. However I do agree that it is very unlikely. Only reason why I could see that as if they managed to get a lot more done than they thought would get done. However that is a very slim hope unless they show off something amazing. Then again it's Nintendo so who knows
God i hate that idea
I thought is delayed in 2025
It is. I think Nintendo is just trying to get the companies involved in making cases and accessories for the new console.
The only weird thing is that they can touch it, but they can’t see it. Possibly they just wanted them to feel the weight and dimensions of the device.
Asus Rog ally enters the chat 😂😅
And leaves
I got a switch 2 idea:
- It plays similar to a DS when its taken out of the dock.
- You can attach both screens and you can take both screens apart to play multiplayer.
- The system will contain joy cons, but this time they have magnets to attach to the screen.
- When you stop using the handheld mode, you fold the system and put it in the dock to play it on the TV.
- The system will do a different snap sound like from the switch when you connect the controllers to the screen.
- Backwards compatibility to play Switch games will be included.
- The system will be announced in 2024, and will be released in 2025, with games like Mario Kart 9, and more.
- The joy cons this time are going to be more comftorable, this time it will have handles to make your gaming experience feel better.
- The system will be named "Nintendo Snap", because of the idea of pulling both screens apart, and pulling the joy cons apart.
- The price will cost 400$, only +100$ to than the Switch.
So, what do you think of it? 🤔
I thought magnets did something to mess up computers/electronics, or did i just make that up?
That’s mostly older parts like mechanical hard drives and CRT screens
The way data is stored now magnetic fields don't mess up the data and if they use non magnetic components in the device then it's safe to have magnets around them! Really high powered ones can still damage electronics but the kind they would use for this aren't strong enough to do anything
I doubt it'll come out this year. Announced, surely, but not out this year. Also, wont magnets hurt the system or...?
Mmmmm if the magnetism is too strong it can damage the console. I think that it was a bad decision
I’m not sure where you got that from. Magnets do not damage modern electronics.
Computers become fried if you place magnetic items on or near the computer, such as the Kirby Figuarts figurine, which uses magnets in place of ball joints for Kirby's limbs. Consoles, Handhelds, and Mobile Phones are also suseptible to this.
While the Nintendo DS systems use a magnet for Sleep Mode detection, it's not magnetic enough to cause harm.
Magnets can wipe hard-drives & older media such as tapes & VHS cassettes. But the really big problem is that people who have pacemakers cannot go near strong magnets, & magnets can destroy credit cards.
@@amandamakin1542 the magnets wouldn’t be large enough to stop a pacemaker. It would need strong magnets but nothing of that variety.
I feel like it would be similar to how Apple uses magnets in their products. I could see the joycons connecting like how you connect an apple pencil on an iPad
Nintendo needs to Push it to 2025 it be too early for it to get released this year plus they need to announce it for the Nintendo direct
Nintendo never announces hardware in Directs. They'd announce the system in its own dedicated trailer like they did in the past.
the problem with magnet would be that they are loosing the attacting power over time so it would be a bad idea, also magnets near electric is always a risk.
I swear we've been getting switch 2 """"""""""rumours"""""""""""" since the switch fucing came out
Nope, we didn't have rumors for a Switch *successor* that early.
This is getting annoying with the rumors please stop until Nintendo confirms switch 2 themselves
Come on I tired of the same rumors repeating the same thing all over about the switch 2.
why does magnetic joy cons sound like the most legit leak? Wouldn't be opposed 🤷🏻♂️
its not real until its officially revealed. "sources" are just a fancy way of saying your uncle works at nintendo 👍
Nintendo Click. 😂
Magnetic joycons sound great but that magnetic clip looks identical to the one that comes with the Pokemon Go + Plus.
Switch 2 came out in 2023 & so many ppl don't know it. Why are ppl not talking about it?...
Tired of all these FREAKING switch 2 rumors, just want wii remasters to come to OG switch already
If so that's easier on/off for an improved tabletop / docked mode, but can't imagine they would be powerful enough magnets for a viable handheld mode, must be missing some info on how handheld can work
I heard the switch 2 can save people's marriage
Nintendo please don’t screw up with successors like the Wii U failed Wii.
nice Now I can put my joycons on the fridge
What purpose would magnets on Joycons serve?
Maybe the problem that the joycons wiggle after a few times when people slide them in and out of the switch
Honestly they’d be better because you won’t need that annoying slide in and out thing. It’s great, but it breaks easily, so magnets would work well
I have no idea
BUT you'd be surprised at how close we were to getting magnetic Joy-Cons for the first Switch. That's actually where the echo-y sounding *clink* that often accompanies the Switch logo comes from: Apparently, the magnetic Joy-Cons made that sound during development & Nintendo just kind of kept it that way even after they got rid of the initial idea.
Its just better quality than some tacky platic rails, why you people complaining?
@@grilledcheese9297 I’m not complaining I’m just confused about the practicality of it
I highly doubt that magnets would be used on any video game console since magnets can damage electronic devices.
Get hyped for the HD 2.5D remake of Super Metroid MercurySteam and Nintendo have coming down the pipeline, Joey and GameXplain consumers. You think they want to save it for the Switch Attach, or will it be multiplatform? And is a *Super Mario Attach* in the cards as the next big 3D Mario? A sequel to Odyssey, or a spiritual successor as an unassuming follow-up?
At this point I will believe until I see it
If it was gonna release this year, they would've announced it already. The Switch was announced back in 2015, so that's already a huge flaw in this rumor.
The switch was announced in late 2016. So it's still possible it will be announced as early as Q4 2024. But not released this year.
@@kyleplair4929 Yes, the console itself was announced in 2016, but it was announced to be in development since 2015 under the NX code name.
