Tamu got so into the role that she not only grew out a mustache, but she also plays traditional grip instead of matched grip. Impressive.
I first thought it was like Saki's groucho Marx glasses...

She's not playing match grip but traditional grip.this is how Steve Smith the drummer on this song played it.shes paying tribute to him by playing traditional grip
Tamu is using the jazz grip like Steve Smith! How cool is that!
It's actually a type of classical sticking grip. Check out an old Haskell Harr drum book. The technique was even used by British drummers during the American Revolution.

ルーツミュージックの多さがネモフィラの多彩さだと感じさせる。
色んな音楽を聴いて育ってきた感じがする。
そしてネモフィラは可愛い。
ルーツミュージックの多いオジサンは大喜び。
この曲が発表された1983年頃、オリジナルのMVご存知の方も多いと思いますが、なんじゃこりゃ？という支離滅裂な作品、他にも山ほどありました。Journeyのメンバーも二度と見たくないと言った問題作を、彼女たちがやってのけると大笑いしながら感心できてしまうのがこのBANDのすごいところです。.
オリジナルの弄り方いやオマージュに愛が溢れてるね！(笑)

This is the best English language song cover. It's incredible. I played it at work it's the first Japanese song that people liked. They liked some of the other covers too but this is the best we all agreed.
Also Linkin Park and The Misfits covers. But playing English covers is the first time they liked Japanese metal. I played all the covers today.
Japanese metal should be huge in America. So many rock/metal fans. But it isn't. Not even a little.

The only thing better on Fridays besides a paycheck is a new Nemophila MV! Outstanding job!!! Humor, cuteness, talent...they are the whole package for me! Tamu is such a goofball. I just love her. The parts when they were all together were gold; especially the background vocal part with the four of them. I just melt when they're all together!
🤣🤣 So many hilarious homage moments! Random dude walking through the shots, Mayu with her sleeves pulled up all “tough guy” style, the air instruments and Tamu literally rocking the paper cut out cop mustache! All while knocking this cover out of the park. I LOVE EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF THIS BAND!🤣💪🏻🤘🏻

mayu のしゃがれたハイトーンボーカルも
スティーブ・ペリーの美しいハイトーンとは毛色こそ異なるも
１音上げたキーの空気感にバッチリはまってます。
こういうミドルテンポの王道ロックは
表現力が問われるから、大変難しいはず。
プレイヤーの解釈を加えた表現していて
見事に自分たちのものにしている。
プロのカバーは、やはり驚愕。

Have been depressingly, yet optimistically busy working, and glad that you all are doing the same with more great jam vidioes. Haven't commented on any of the multitude of subsribed channels and could not pass by this particular tune. Before commenting further I must add that I selected a cover tune instead of the band's originals because I automatically and accurately know they are fantastic and I also can karaoke by heart. The opening was incredibly cool, with the air-playing bit and it flowed perfectedly to the conclusion. I noted with ample sorrow the release poster with its special date, because of the ongoing worldwide problems, that we are all dealing, with in our own ways and means. As I listened and sang, I believe the ending verse was changed to say 'if she ever hurts you' and had a pleasant giggle because I am fortunate enough to own a mindset that makes that impossible, even if I cry like a baby from time to time: like not traveling anytime soon, nor spending my resources the way I would prefer. Nonetheless I have been endlessly cheered up by a song that is supposed to strike some sorrows when a person forgets the lines about true love and its empowerment. P.S. glad you all are jamming and hope for a bright happy day and also ask that you have a considerate thought for an unrelable fan...when it comes to postings and purchasing.

These air instruments (which were super cute, and caught me off guard) at beginning was collided harmoniously with that moment when they were singing the backing vocals, which somehow reminded me of 80's old music videos. And that about sums up an awesome Nemophila Friday, so thanks for that. 😁

There are so many bands I would have expected to be here as a cover way sooner than Journey. But that's the power of NEMOPHILA, versatility and yet always in their own style. Covery, yes, but with their touch, and thats sooo lovely.

WOW Journey That was totally unexpected .Tamu on her new kit with the the paper mustacho. Mayu belting it out and those girls actually made me feel emotional with the way they made the guitars sing like that .They realy are fab with every thing they do much love .

They are not famous in America. Not even Babymetal is. And Babymetal is the most famous. I try to get my coworkers into Japanese metal. This is the first song that hooked them.
If you went up to 100 Americans on the street and asked them if they know any Japanese bands you get less than 1.
I think there is this unfair perception that Japanese people can't sing. Just because they have difficulty with English sounds. It's unfair.
I liked this better than original version. Made me want to relearn it to play again. What they added on guitar was great too.
Awesome cover! One of the all time great vocal parts and Mayu absolutely nails it. Plus Saki's haunting guitar work. Loved all the little callbacks to the original music video as well, they really made me smile. And Tamu's "mustache" was perfect.
