The people saying they dont feel sorry for OP anymore because she isnt cautious enough are crazy. No innocent person deserves to live like this, and its all on the abuser wtf. A person can't be healthy living in paranoia all the time. They get used to their new situation and continue to live their life as they can. The first time OP messed up by not living with her mom, but she finally got the money and is now there. Stop blaming OP and start questioning cops and justice systems that cant even take care of a violent abuser
OP continues to underestimate this guy. Just like at the end. Saying she doesn't think he'll show up because she is a couple of states away. He's going to show up. Continuely running in fear isn't going stop anything. The "legal system" has proven itself useless and disgusting as usual. He will break into their house/apartment one day. They need exit strategies for Mom, daughter and cat. OP needs to keep her distance from him. So knives,bats chains are illogical. However spray gun's are cheap. There's multiple flammable liquids that are cheap.

To people saying "At this point I dont feel sorry for OP" it has been statistically proven it takes up to several attempts to leave an abusive relationship.
It is that mentality that gives up on victims half way which can put them in even more danger.
They will start to question if they should even bother to reach out for help or start to believe that the entire situation is their fault instead of the abuser.
Victims are scared of running away for various reasons like financial difficulties, codependence, the fear of the unknown, the familiarity and so much more.
Its easy for us to sit behind the screen and type "You should do this" but to actually do those things is another story.
OP and other victims arent some character in a thriller movie that run into an alleyway with a killer on their heels. We dont get to sigh and roll our eyes at their decisions because they are real people in a high stress situation facing real consequences.
Don't belittle the steps that OP is taking to escape this abuser. We should be proud that she found the strength and bravery to try at all.
Instead of suffering in silence as too many victims do.

Heart breaks for this OP, seems like no matter what she does she hits a brick wall. DV should be taken much more seriously than the police seem to take it, and tbh people seem to be blaming OP cos she can't afford to flee the state like people are telling her to, people need to realise that money or a very good support system is needed to flee DV situations and sadly this OP has neither (yes she has her mum but she isn't able to help financially), hope OP and her daughter mange to stay away from this psych (let's hope he meets a tree while driving fast) and they manage to live a long and happy stress free life

I’m so mad at the school for this, they have no idea how serious that could have turned and they would have been held responsible for it all. If they let the girl get taken from the school by this guy and something happened to her then it would be on the school because there is a clear note saying said not to do something. Those are complete morons that need to be turned into the board of education or something because they are endangering children without a second thought, without listening to clear instructions! They have no idea why that person could be forbidden from getting info or even getting the actual child, it’s sickening they tried to brush it off as nothing they did was wrong. They need to be investigated and punished by not being allowed to be in charge of children again.

At this point I don't feel sorry for OP I guess she will learn her lesson when she and her daughter is no longer here. She make tooo many excuse for why she can't leave and she also keeps makeing stupid action that cause her to get in harm she will never learn.
