This simulation is completely incorrect. The crash did not happen at a platform. It happened in the middle of the tunnel linking Saint Clair West and Dupont Station. The train left Saint Clair West station. Ran three red lights.The triparm system was supposed to be activated, but that too malfunctioned causing the train crash into another train that stopped on a red light. Three women were killed.
I found this due to an obscure memory from when this event happened, and a cg mockup was produced at the time. Random all around lol sad event though....
Whatever you mean by that it is meant that the crash happened in 1995, not that the subway cars or the date this was posted had anything to do with the video.
@@TheOfficialGamer1 I doubt it. The signals are usually offset so that won't happen. I might have been making a bad assumption back when I wrote this.. It could be that they don't have emergency stops like they do in NYC.
So tell me how the Hell did the driver survive this crash when the drivers cab was completely obliterated? They must have seen what was coming and hightailed it out of the cab and to the rear of the car. I surely hope they tried to clear the front of the car in the process.
The JAL crash was on August 12th 1985 (with 4 surivours which was 4 more than I thought there would be because of the way the 747 hit the mountain) and this crash was on August 11th 1995

No idea why the crash animation in OpenBVE is so funny. It just slowly tips over.
In the simulation, the trailing train rolls to the right from the back view, it rolls the opposite direction from the front view.

I don't get it. How does the driver manage to pass 3 reds without hitting a trip arm ? Were all the trip arms out of service that day ?
It was probably the trains catch that was bad.
