And then he left for Toronto in free agency, he lied to Isles’ fans faces. The Isles could have gone a great return for him if he got traded. You are right! That is what I've been hearing on the TTC news on Facebook. When time passes by, the H5s on the Yonge line will also be gone sometime this year. There is going to be a time that on the Yonge-University line, only the Toronto Rockets will be running while the T1 trains will only be on service on the Bloor-Danforth line; and then, the H6 trains may also be retired as well. I am not sure if that is going to happen.

Sometimes I miss the older train models especially the H6’s the H4’s and the H1’s and I suppose the H5’s too I even miss the old streetcars too sometimes don’t get me wrong I like the new rocket trains and the new streetcars but sometimes I feel nostalgic for the older TTC vehicles I even miss the parallelogram shaped windows of the old fishbowl busses they used to be my favourite kinds of busses because of the parallelogram shaped windows but don’t get me wrong I still like the newer TTC vehicles as well I do like how you can walk between subway cars on the new rocket trains I just wish they would hurry up and come to line 2 already because that’s the line I use most often I still do use line 1 like if I’m seeing my parents or if it wasn’t for Covid I also use line 1 to visit my good buddy I have or my cousin or girlfriend they all live on the line 1 area but I like closer to line 2 and unfortunately we are still dealing with the old T1’s on that line I can’t wait for the rocket trains to come onto line 2 permanently there was that summer when a lot of the T1’s had air conditioning problems so to compensate they used some rocket trains while they fixed the problematic air conditioning units on the T1’s but that was only temporary I want the rocket trains permanently on line 2 I can’t wait for that to happen but until then I just have to cope with the T1’s

I guess that the H5's will all be gone in a few weeks as being the most recent estimate so far, and starting in fall 2013, T1 series trains will move to the Bloor line to replace the H6's over the next two years if im not mistaken.

H5’s are still in full use on Line 2 in 2022. Still waiting for the change.

No! It was not on fire. One of the cars got derailed as those H5 trains are old that they do a lot of noise when the train begins to walk and when it is about to stop.

There is only 9 units left of the H5 fleet. Everyone enjoy them while they are still around. Next will be the removal of the H6's on the Bloor/Danforth line.

what hapened did a motor short out ..you think could still work if one motor shorted out if that was problem ..no comments about what happened to power to motors
Well they don't apparently use the H5s for reush hours same as the H6s but there are 68 H5s that are still alive according to cptdb

Im guessing that ALL TTC H5 trains will be RETIRED in the coming days or weeks since there's only one or two trainsets left.
As for the H6 trains on the Bloor/Danforth line, they will remain in service for a while though, possibly until at least 2014, until the Yonge line recieves all of the new TR trains.

At least they got rid of the H-4s that only ran on the B-D line since they kept breaking down and no wonder since they were in service for about 40 years. They certainly got their money's worth out of them but I hated taking them, even when they didn't break down there was the constant whip lash effect whenever they stopped making sleeping on them impossible. The H-5s at least are far more reliable and can stop smoothly.
Crowded TTC subway station + TWO subway trains = a way to solve crowding. HEY FILL THE TRAINS FILL THEM ALLLLLLLLL. Basically let passengers board the H5 and the Toronto Rocket train.

5754 is scrapped due to a switch accident
When the t1 is disabled, the tr will push t1.
