- Downwind SUP foiling from Fremantle to Rottnest Island, in Perth WA.
Finally ticked off the crossing to Rottnest Island, and earned my stripes as a West Australian. I definitely didn't swim it like some bold folk - well not the whole way anyway.
Thanks for the awesome gear Mark at Winging WA.
Cheers for arranging the adventure JP, and for the good times Vince, Al and Ian. - Sport
Got courage bro! Some big Sharks in those parts 😂
Absolutely! There is lots of life in the ocean in these parts 😍
Having the 1090 myself I’m wondering if you’re using the standard fuselage that it comes with? And what mast length? Thanks!
try the Eagle 1290 for these kind of conditions. same easy paddle up as the Seven Seas 1400 just a bit quicker, more efficient and longer glide.
Thanks. Waiting to try one! They arrive in Perth in a few weeks. There must be a trade off with the maneuverability?
🤞🏼
have to get more foiled meter in with the 1290 to know for sure. But felt surprisingly agile, but more drawn out and "carved" turns compared to the 1400. Excited to hear your feedback.
Cool video what's your board specs? You find that foil a bit tough to paddle up?
The board is the standard Elite 6'6. Am looking at getting something a touch longer with less width. The 1090 Eagle has a great range - I'll be on the 890 and 1090 exclusively through summer for ocean runs. The bumps were really slow and tiny on this run and we had to get up 20 times - the Seven Seas 1400 paddles up on nothing.
@@Mickfoil1 the Eagles have a speed range similar to the Arts, but they turn far better. In my experience the Armstrong wings are quick but have a high stall speed for a comparative size, so you need to size up, and then you lose turning. I like how the F-One gear fits together too.
@@bradridolfi1 awesome. Yeh i only using Armstrong now because i loved the range and much higher speed, yes higher stall speeds but get used to keep it above the stall speed and yes ride a size bigger but I am heavier too at 92kg so I feel i turn them better than a smaller size ART, would love to try the f-one though
:)
How much do you Weight ?
Hey, 84kg 👍
