LONG TERM - F-ONE Wingfoil Review: Eagle Hydrofoil - Liquid Blue Cabarete, Dominican Republic...

Hello everyone!
Charles here with Liquid Blue Cabarete and we are back in action with a long term ownership review of the F-ONE Eagle Series...
After having this foil since its release it has been a great step up from the 1480/1280 phantom which it replaced and overall is a nice combo with my 1200 7Seas.
I believe this foil is a great intermediate foil for those who want that speed, pump ability down the line riding style. The foil can be kited, winged or prone though I have been using primarily for wing and prone in the 990 size.

Thanks for this video! Good work.
I tried the SK8 750 and it's amazing. It could easily replace my Phantom 940s. Almost the same lift but much faster and more agile.
But I have a question about the Eagle 1290. Have you had a chance to try that foil for dockstart and pump foiling? I'm considering switching to a smaller foil for dock start, but I'm unsure if the Eagle 1290 is easy enough for me (over 90kg). 🙂
I appreciate any recommendations or insights in advance. Thank you!

Hey Cezary, that's super to hear about the SK8 750. Waiting to receive my SK8 in the next two weeks an 850. The question about the dock start I wouldn't want to comment since my knowledge is limited. I would just imagine more lift the better overall... It is the largest eagle in the range and the 990 has already great lift prone foiling so maybe 1290 for pumping could be good enough.

@@buenacloud from prone foil it gives a slight idea to dock starting (and maybe even more challenging since sometimes currents working with and against you…) though I believe thinking about it more anything above the 990 should in theory work…. Even a small foil though you’d just be working more! Higher aspect and bigger probably better and better for pumpabiity though won’t cross over well into other disciplines. So depending how much you do you debate if work forking over money for an additional set up or front wing.

Awesome review. I want to point out, that from an aerodynamical point of view, winglets have been introduced to reduce drag. So not only is the Eagle a great foil with immense glide due to the aspect ratio, but F-One has put one on top by adding the winglets. I myself ride the 890 and it’s my go to foil. I’d like to go even smaller, but as mentioned in the review, it needs more speed for takeoff compared to medium aspect foil. I reckon a 690 might be super fast but probably also needs a lot of wind in order to get that thing going (or a huge wing).
