Paul should have mentored him more but Jimmy was stubborn. I would certainly have put him straight. We all make choices good & bad. Not for the band members except Denny Laine. The others received a weekly salary & Paul is noted for his stinginess back then. Not a lot is the phrase that's why so many left the band & the great kudos & amazing to work with him still couldn't keep them. Me. I'd work for nothing. Paul here's my number just look up my name..

Wonderful interview! They look so glad for their big success around the world! For me, this is the best line up of Wings: Joe was a wonderful drummer, Denny plays the guitar so well and he had a stunning voice and Jimmy was a awesome guitarist, a genius!

Linda Davis wings over America was my first concert seeing Paul in America - as was for all of us in the USA . $9.50 was pricey for those great seats I had at the Philly Spectrum. But $9.50 won't by you a seat in the nosebleed section for one song! Same as the $15.00 I paid my friend's Mom who worked at the ticketron - to see Pink Floyd perform The Wall live at Nassau Colissum- one of only a dozen shows in 2 US cities. What a blessing to have known this wonderful friend and her beloved Mom. Concerts were a bargain back then- and this was one of the best-and Paul still rocks at 76!

Well they all wrote songs, they all contributed vocally, offered melodies, played live and did the promotional work around it. Sure, it's Paul's band, there is no equal to him, but Denny was a very good songwriting partner to him (he co wrote as many as 5 on 'London town') it was a band.... in the truest sense.
Yes great composer, singer etc. But I can't help feel he's a bit of a hypocrite, he felt agrieved with Michael Jackson being an arse and buying up all his songs, but then wouldn't do the right thing in the end and give dual song writing credit to Denny laine on Mull of Kintyre, where he would have a share in the royalties, rather than just a one off payment. McCartney doesn't need the money, where Denny probably does!

Definitely my favorite Wings Line up. Venus and Mars, Speed Of Sound, and Wings Over America are probably their best albums.

McCartney doesn't need the money, where Denny probably does!
