Thanks for this informative video. One minor 'correction' though: You do not have to undo the first 2 screws. For those who have trouble replacing bulbs, lift the front corner up and unscrew the 6 screws on the upper part of the wheel arch liner, and you'll get a good access to replace bulbs.
Will you be able to replace all pf the bulbs like this? I know the front turn signal bulbs are tricky to reach but if I am able to lift the car and remove those 6 screws and replace the bulb that way it would be great

Access from the BOTTOM is much easier! With the wheel turned toward the engine, use a T25 to remove 3 screws holding the wheel well liner (3:20), pull back the liner carefully, and you're there.

Used this video to remove headlamp on my UK 2017MY Golf GTI to replace the headlamp washer jet after it became frozen and the clips for the cover broke last winter. 🙌🏻
Unbelievably difficult compared to my 2013 Kia Rio 5 which took 15 minutes to remove the whole headlight assembly. What were the design engineers thinking!! Make it Simple!!

Stop putting screws and tools in the engine compartment. That is a recrpie for drops and forgotten stuff. Later on the road: "What was that sound?". I have even dropped into a carbureator 😂 😊😂

I know this is an old comment but... Not if you're just doing Halogens since they have the easy plastic handle on the bulb to screw in. My LED has no handle and my hand is too big to fit between my fuse box and the low beam spot to screw it in. Off comes my bumper.

So, it's obvious that automotive engineers have parts of their brains removed when they take the position. The only interesting question is: 1) Is it done surgically, or 2) do they inject some sort of targeted parasite into theirs ears that just eats away the part of their brains where common sense is located?
So, VW be very ashamed - imagine your driving 500 miles at night (I often do), headlight bulb goes - so impossible to replace roadside - VW should not be allowed to sell this vehicle, it is an accident waiting to happen... stupid design!
Or alternatively you could just take the cap off the back,unscrew the bulb holder,replace bulb,replace cap..all done..under 5 minutes, but if I needed to remove the whole unit then yeah this video helps..
Zdarec nejde místo tohoto nejde to trošku jinak....nadkoli plastu oddělat a vyměnit žárovku H7......tohle je že při zpětné montáži se musí světlomet zkalibrovat ....kvůli žárovce to přece nebudu rozdělávat celý...nebo musím?

This is ridiculous. I just changed mine in 5mins. Its tight but was able to squeeze my fingers in and remove and replace the bulb. No unnecessary work

I changed my bulbs in minutes without doing all that. The removal of the unit is not necessary

Actually the easier ways is to remove the fuse box and the ECU...standby size 10 rachet...2 screws thats all

Try doing that to your right headlight and let us all know what you find....
I removed the cover right in front of the tire, popped the rubber that covers your headlight and was able to replace on both sides. (Low beams)
The right side is actually easier 🤣🤣🤣 takes under 5 mins for both sides no bolts removed anywhere especially no damn bumper removal lol
