      @@Blehstor i have been saying it before I even heard anyone else bring it up. Video games, yes... FIFA. Asado, of course... you have to eat. Family yes, that's to feel comfortable. Now stop acting like he is just a normal guy. For the first year at la masia he didn't speak (they thought he was a mute). He obsesses over a loss for days, only being relieved by the next game. He usually needs a fellow teammate to speak for him (Dani Alves, Suarez, Aguero, etc). Did you hear the story about how Gabriel Heinze almost got into a fight with Messi on the bus because Messi wouldn't even turn around to answer him? And did you hear how Romario went off on him saying he wasn't the best player in the world then several days later he came back to make a public announcement about how Messi is a genius like Newton and autistic. How would Romario, a Brazilian and now politician, know about that? Neymar? Open your eyes.

    UNBELIEVABLE, I am from Argentina and it never stops amazing me. How great he was from the very beginning and how unlucky he was with the Argentina team It had to have a new Coach "inexperienced" to change players around him to make him win the Most desirable biggest championships and now what a surprise he ended in Miami and doing this Great. Its because he can walk the walk. Generate far more from his path now compared to any other path he could have chosen. He can back it up. No one else can. Not to talk bad of Cristiano but he could not have done the same in the MLS Hence the money move to saudi. Messi has the capability of what is happening now by joining the worst team and making them best almost overnight. It sends shockwaves and a realisation of his attraction. He's truly a lifetime event.

    First and foremost, Messi loves his family. They suffered in France already. So his first concern is his children to be comfortable in their environment especially they are growing up, school is important as well.
    Money followed his decision. He did not ask for those perks. It just followed. It is them who offered him.
    It is not him who decides for the tickets to go up,...it is the business people behind him, it is the 'DEMAND AND SUPPLY' thing. It is the people who wants him.

  • @_Jake.From.Statefarm_

    While you are correct about pretty much everything, I think you skipped over an important part. The rise of MLS was well on it's way before Messi. While it wasn't a top league in the world, and was often a retirement for good players, the past 10 years have really changed in terms of quality and development. Shifting more towards a development league than the ladder. Never have we seen so many young players playing in Europe. Over 250 Americans currently play in Europe. Many of them at least starting in MLS academies and being transferred. That and with all of the big tournaments coming to America in the near future and most league rankings having MLS in the mid teens of global football leagues, it isn't that far of a stretch to come. Now, I'm not saying that the MLS currently can compete with the likes of the EPL, but it can be compared with Championship and that is still pretty quality football.

    • @nerychristian
      @nerychristian Před 10 měsíci +6

      True. But I think Messi's arrival will cause the league to rethink it's salary cap rules. I'm guessing that next year we will see more big signings. Messi will also cause MLS teams to focus more on strengthening their defense. Messi is shining a light on the league's biggest weakness. Hopefully this will cause MLS teams to spend more money on getting better defenders. This will cause the level of soccer to rise.

    • @MrAkaacer
      @MrAkaacer Před 10 měsíci +5

      Kind of an obvious statement. US football has been growing for years. When you come from nothing, naturally you're grow. The problem is there's usually a ceiling to that growth. Messi has just raised that ceiling for US football, not to mention that he's obviously accelerate that growth. For example, if US football was worth 10 million last year and its now worth 20 million, that's 200% growth, but still not very impressive. Anyway, I never know why people feel the necessity to underplay the Messi effect. Naturally Messi is not going to move to a totally shite league, because a shite league wouldn't be able to afford him and also Messi loves football, so he wants a challenge.

    • @_Jake.From.Statefarm_
      @_Jake.From.Statefarm_ Před 10 měsíci

      @@01olracman No doubt, I would hope they would. That is what I said. Our best players weren't born there though.. and they have to get training before making that life changing decision. Which means you need programs that are good enough to support those players as well as the players who might not a) want to make the journey or b) aren't good enough at a young age and will later transfer. If the programs are good enough and the player pools are large enough you'll have a plethora of talent that is wanted to be taken from MLS and it's academies. Which means more money. More money = buying better players for MLS... Eventually the need to fly across the pond won't be as necessary. There is no reason that in the future a league in the west can't compete with the top 4 leagues in Europe. It's good for the sport, especially with hopes of Club World Cups and more non confederation tournaments to be competitive. I think we should always stive to better the sport around the globe as a whole and not just one geographical area.

    The down side is poor americans wont be able to afford tickets. This will turn soccer into an elitist sport in the US.

    Bros, mmmmmm, bros, u got that wrong now, Right now, MLS league is one of the top leagues in the world right now. The fact is that everybody in MLS right now is a high competitor. But mind you, the best players are not from Europe, so how about that? ronadiho and mess arei not from Europe, so what European sports administration did was to hire foreigners to make European players better period, and that's what American soccer administration realized now. And again, bros, after ronadiho, ronaldo, messi, and benzima left, European League has been nothing but a joke period.

      European League? I guess you don't know much about football, there's no "European League", try with European LEAGUES. MLS is a semipro league if you compare it with the English Premier League or Spain's LaLiga.
