  • Testing out the AstroLux MF04 Super Bright Thrower Flashlight
    This light is the real deal. It does have a beam that doesn't quit.
    This is about as good as you are going to get on a thrower other than the new LEP tech anyways

    You 100% do the best comparisons for throw! We get to see in daylight as well, so we have a frame of reference, and your measurements seem to be spot on! Not just shining it at a fucking wall, or trusting that your measurements are accurate! Keep doing what u are doing bro!

  • @genterpondi7038

    You need to measure the throw from a greater distance with big reflector throwers in order to get accurate readouts. 4 Meter isnt enough with this & the BLF GT. 16 or even 20 Meters distance should be fine. Thats why the BLF GT had lower numbers (compared to the tn42)

      I'm powerless, I can't not watch.
      Since the 70's I've had the best possible flashlights and corded spotlights. I remember how great my first 750,000 candle power spotlight was.
      I remember how exciting 500 lumens first was, and I think it's even better when we point out that a light is "only 1,000 lumens." I laugh at the thought of my old Maglite collection. I wonder why I still keep my 1st gen Pelican 7060 & 8060 around, I guess it's just nostalgia at this point.
      I can't wait to see where all this ends up, but it sure is expensive to try and keep pace! I'm excited to see what they do with LEP and the coming technology that's bound to render it obsolete.
      Damn, I feel old now...

      I hate myself for clicking on another badass flashlight comparison video, but I always feel better when it's not the next one for my collection!
      It looks like a stubby version of my BLF GT70. I like the option of running eight 18650's, or not. Haven't figured out the "not" part though

  • @arizonapapa9453
    @arizonapapa9453 Před 5 lety +3

    I was worried to watch this one, but unable not to. Is there a 12 step program for flashlight addicts? Never mind, I can stop anytime I want to... lmao
    A side note, thanks to a prior video, my Klarus 360X1 has been promoted to my ECD light. Thanks bro, keep them coming! 😀

    • @Flash363
      @Flash363 Před 5 lety +1

      A better comparison would be to the regular BLF GT and not the 70. The 70 refers the the LED being an XHP-70 which is going to achieve less throw than the regular XHP-35 LED but with a larger hotspot and brighter spill.

    • @benbraceletspurple9108
      @benbraceletspurple9108 Před 4 lety

    remember the max throw on a light is just a gimmick the light or lumen on that distance is so weak that the light is useless on 2700 meters the more usable range for a so called 2700meter light is more close to 900 to 1100meters i have the mf04 and blf (2700meter) the difference on claimed 2400m vs 2700m is so tiny it's more of a principe
