    Ingredients:
    - 2 cups basmati rice
    - 500g chicken cut into pieces
    - 2 large onions, thinly sliced
    - 1 cup yogurt
    - 4 tomatoes,
    - 4 green chilies,
    - 1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
    - 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
    - 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
    - Whole spices (bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon)
    - 1 teaspoon red chili powder
    - 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    - Food color
    - Salt to taste
    - Ghee or oil for cooking
    Instructions:
    1. Wash and soak the basmati rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.
    2. In a large skillet, heat ghee or oil. Add the sliced onions and fry until golden brown. Remove the fried onions.
    3. To the remaining onions in the skillet, add the ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
    4. Add the whole spices and cook for another minute.
    5. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
    6. Add the chicken or mutton pieces, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the meat is tender.
    7. In a separate pot, bring water to a boil and cook the soaked rice until it's 70% done. Drain and set aside.
    8. In a large heavy-bottomed pot, layer half of the cooked rice followed by the cooked meat mixture.
    9. Sprinkle half of the chopped mint and coriander leaves, green chilies, and saffron milk.
    10. Repeat the layers with the remaining rice and meat mixture. Top with the remaining mint and coriander leaves, green chilies, and saffron milk.
    11. Cover the pot tightly with a lid and cook on low heat for about 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked and aromatic.
    12. Once done, let it rest for 10 minutes. Then, gently fluff the biryani with a fork.
    13. Garnish with the reserved fried onions before serving. Enjoy your Hyderabadi biryani!
Feel free to adjust the spices and ingredients according to your taste preferences.
