“I’ve seen that many kids want the marble and they will break the glass to get it.” “I have found a safer way to get the marble out of the contraption” *pulls out a switchblade*
Syntax YT right!
So what's your point it's just a knife with a spring in it no different than any other knife you've been brainwashed I'm more scared of razor blades than switchblades I thought his knife was sweet and I want one
I know, but these are small children that drink these and want the marble. Kids shouldn't be handling that unless it is for self-defense.
Syntax YT yes don’t use I knife to open a bottle. use it to stab someone.
Puff Splix I was about to say this guy wants the kid to be able to handle the knife well enough for self defense but hell discourage the practice by not allowing them to do practical things with it.
Personally, Im not going to let my child handle anything sharper than a butter knife until they can prove that theyre responsible enough.

I had a ramune bottle and when he was talking about the bumps in the glass that kept the marble at the bottom I wanted to test it myself, so not thinking, with no covered top, I tilted the half-full glass to see if it was true, and ended up getting my legs soaked in melon ramune.
On the bright side, I can confirm he was right!

I think it would be cool to have decorative marbles in it and an easier way to take the cap off. So you can drink it then just remove the stopper and put a pretty marble in a collection.
that is an awesome idea
Good idea but It would cost more money on the company’s side to make the marbles for a drink so it is a stupid idea

The solutions reviewed in this video include parts of the solution that I discovered, which is WAY EASIER than what is shown here. The author was on the right track with the butane lighter, but not exactly. As you may surmise, he rejected that solution because the flame will BURN the plastic, releasing noxious fumes. As an alternative, I tried heating the plastic with my heat gun on "low" setting. I heated while rotating the bottle to get the cap evenly hot, until it turned glossy (started to melt). Then with the screwdriver, the cap just slid off effortlessly! No danger of the screwdriver slipping and stabbing me in the hand, no danger of cracking or chipping the glass with excessive force from the screwdriver. Very very easy.
Great idea, and excellent comment! I tried as best I could to limit my tools to items you may find in most homes. A heat gun is an Awesome tool, but not everyone has one. That said you may have the absolute best solution in this comment.
@@DYCEQUIRK you have a point there, not everyone has a heat gun. It took years before I bought mine. But it really is a tool that everyone should have in their toolbox. I think it cost me less than $10 new, from Ace Hardware. It may be worth the investment just to get the marble out of all your Ramune bottles lol.
@@DYCEQUIRK Even more simple, boiling water. hold the bottle with the plastic tip in boiling water for 5 minutes or so. It will become soft and easily removed.
@@j.danielsink9111 yeah, I've been meaning to make an updated video with this method, but the bottles they have here in Japan are slightly different, so it wouldn't be the same.

"Do not try to remove the marble from the bottle to avoid an injury"
400k people: interesting...
I kept a bottle when I was on a business trip to Japan about 25 years ago. To be honest I think I found and kept the empty bottle and didn’t know what the product was. I assume it’s Ramune, but mine doesn’t have plastic, the glass itself is shaped smaller which prevents removing the marble. Maybe an older design? Has a greenish tint to the glass. Anyway I think it’s cooler with the marble in there!
That's awesome! And you're probably right about it being an older model! Must be a pretty cool job to be going to Japan on a business trip XD Also since then have you drank a ramune?

I love ramune! I live in Springtown (a town in texas) and there's a square in the middle of the town called "the town square" there was a donut shop and it was the only place that sold ramune, but sadly the donut shop got shut down and soon removed. THEN I FOUND OUT THEY SOLD RAMUNE AT WALMART AND I HAVE SOME NOW!!
Nice! Congratulations! When I was younger, finding any Japanese stuff anywhere was so ridiculously hard XD So glad to hear Walmarts finally picked them up! How much do they cost there? And what's your favorite flavor? :)
I purchased this one day, threw it into the bed of my truck, and a couple of days later my son climbs in to truck bed, picks up the bottle, shakes it, and asks..."is this a marble? Can I have it?" I said, "Not right now, I have to figure out how to do it." Long story short, the next day, today, I get this video suggested in my youtube feed. 😮 So I'm theorizing that my phone heard the marble clinging about in the bottle and it registered in the algorithm. thus, this video was suggested. 😬
Lol they are listening to EVERYTHING XD lol also love how your son wanted the marble as well XD Thank you for sharing XD
@@DYCEQUIRK and I didn't even mention "bottle" or "drink". I believe that my phone heard the distinct clinging noise of the glass marble in the bottle. thanks for posting this. I'm going to get it out for him.
Here, I'm struggling to open it with a fork.....
So uh funny thing. I found this out recently but the marble rlly isn’t all that difficult to get. The blue lid part on the top is actually reverse threaded (aka you just need to twist it the opposite way then usual so instead of lefty loosey, you need to unscrew it going right) it’s rlly that easy and I find it kinda amusing that everyone has been stumped by this for so long. Everyone’s first instinct after they finish the bottle is to try as hard as they can do unscrew it but are doing it the wrong way, subsequently making it tighter and harder to get off lol. No glue and it’s not super tight, We were just all played :\
That's true, but only in some parts of the world and depending on the manufacturer :)
In the USA there are a couple producers, but most of the manufacturers have a permanent seal so children can't easily get to the marble, which could be a "choking hazard".
@@DYCEQUIRK ah that makes sense. I didn’t know that and thought that everyone is just doing risky things to get the marble for no reason 😭 I live on the west coast so probably from a different distributor
I finally got to try Ramune and I really wanted that clear little marble. I don't know what makes it so enticing, but I wanted it. I just got it out by putting it in a bag and smashing the neck of the bottle through the bag with the hammer, then I carefully opening the bag, squeezed the marble out, and tossed the bag with the broken bottle. Easy.
I used vice grips, worked great!
Fastest way lighter and a small flathead screwdriver melt the plastic then pop it off with the screwdriver.
I got sick of using a lighter for art projects so I brought a heat gun. Best investment ever.
Oh and it made getting the marble out super easy

Tried Ramune for the first time. Twisted the cap clockwise and it popped right off. Grabbing the marble was quite easy.
That is awesome! Depending on where you live in the world they actually make the bottles slightly differently. And so in some places you can twist it clockwise or counterclockwise and it'll come off, but in a lot of portions of the u.s. you cannot remove it normally and they do that to prevent the choking hazard. In case a kid were to open up the container and then swallow the marble. May I ask what region of the world you're from? And if in the US which coaster closest to?

This stuff is good
never tried one of these but got a question.
Does the marble block the drinking hole when you take a sip? Not the neck but like the actual hole
O.G. Shmurda it can block the hole if you quickly tilt the bottle, but if you slowly tilt the bottle you can use the two bumps to hold the marble in place so that it wont block the top.
these 4$ each here in germany - that's fckn expensive!
Here in america where I got mine it's also 4$
At my place in the local store they only cost 2 bucks.
12 rs only in India
I had one today after about 3 years and yeah I want the marble
We're you able to get it?!
:)
I just put it in a plastic bag, got an old rock hammer (it has a flat bit on the back end instead of a claw) that belonged to my maternal grandpa and lined it up with the narrow part of the bottle. Two good whacks to keep it from going absolutely everywhere even with the bag and I had the marble. Apparently back in the day when the UK used to use Codd-neck bottles more often, the marble inside would be collected by the kids to play marble games and larger marbles used in the games would be called "Bottle Washers" because of the use of marbles in the Codd-neck bottle.
That's super interesting! Also your method certainly works XD I just wanted to show people some ways, with tools they likely had, to open it without breaking the bottle :)
@@DYCEQUIRK If you want to reuse the bottle your way is MUCH better than mine lol, I was gonna pop it in the glass recycling anyway so breaking it didn't matter to me. Also the things are pretty sturdy and the way I hit it it just broke into two pieces at the neck with one smaller chunk besides the marble. If you wanna just get the marble and recycle the rest then breaking it in a good sturdy bag with some gloves and eye protection to be on the save side isn't a bad way to go.
@@ShinKyuubi that makes sense, they are intended to be shatter resistant since kids are always trying to break them XD currently I live in Japan, so I don't know what the process is for recycling broken glass here XD
@@DYCEQUIRK might be an interesting topic if it's different enough from over here in the US. I like the way you see recycle bins/boxes/containers near drink machines in Japan since it encourages proper recycling of glass and plastic bottles rather than the ubiquitous garbage bins you see all over the place in the US.
