Featuring Amy-Mae Dolan (in her debut performance!!) and James Greenan as the lead dancers.
This was the third number in a free charity performance dedicated to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, the other numbers performed were Anna Livia and Thunderstorm (neither of which I managed to record, unfortunately).
This is simply the best dancing in the world…hands down. I cannot even fathom how they learn it, perform it, move their legs in such fashion. It’s mind-blowing.
The dancing and the dancers are even more beautiful and inspiring up close. This dance exhibits the natural beauty of the male and the female joined together in harmony.

Wonderful interaction to see Amy-Mae Dolan in broad daylight with street audience, which is different dynamically from those in the theater under little lighting.

Who is the male lead? Both absolutely fantastic bless him with that slip. Needed more room and a better surface for the dancers ❤️❤️

I saw James Greenan dance lead in South Carolina when I first saw the show. So awsome.

The music, the dancers, the outfits, the choreography, everything is absolutely amazing.
Witnessed their performance July.19.2018 when I visited Dublin. They performed to a packed audience. The show was a worth it performance.

Oh how I'd love to see them again!! I was very very fortunate to get to see them live at this theater which is extremely beautiful inside mind you on a recent trip to Ireland last year Amy mae wasn't the lead female but the main lead male was the talented guy when I saw it but either way it was such an amazing show

Jean Butler, A Lovely and Talented Lady...
I wholeheartedly agree, although Jean Butler hasn't been involved with Riverdance in many years. It was actually Amy-Mae Dolan who danced in this performance!

Binging on Riverdance videos has always been one of my favorite pastimes too! My personal favorites are Ciara Sexton and Emma Warren. :)

How many calories do these young people burn each performance? It's such an energetic dance.
Couldn't they have given them a non-slippery surface to dance on?
They definitely tried with the Marley flooring, but hardshoes can sometimes demand some taping on the fiberglass to further minimize chances of slipping!
The lead male dancer's recovery made the dance even more spectacular and graceful.

I'm no expert but it is believed that tap-dancing is rooted in African percussive dance and Irish dancing, yes!

Former lead Emma Warren! She’s since been performing with Celtic Woman, it appears. 😊
@@c0c0138 thanks so much! I watched the show in 2019 and Amy Mae was the lead at the start, then maybe something happened and couldn’t continue so Emma came on but her name was nowhere to be found. She was brilliant!
