- After getting slapped around at Northwood Black we decided this week to try the Best/Worst shot alternating challenge. On paper it looked like a great idea, but we found out quickly how difficult this format was.

I actually prefer when you guys play these as solos and show/talk through multiple shots. Its nice to see and hear you guys make different choices and the adjustments you make.

@@chiebert290 its not that im not interested because honestly worst shot is usually comedy gold. I just like hearing their thoughts and seeing the adjustments they make. Really getting a pro’s perspective on how to attack a course.
I agree. It’s really interesting to see how pros dissect each hole. Worst shot can be hard to watch especially on a wooded course.

I would love to see an alternate shot round. You would also need to alternate who tees off on each hole. I have run tournaments with this format and it seems to work out pretty well.
I like the format we play here at vista sometimes. It's 666 Doubles - First 6 best shot, middle 6 alternate shot, last 6 worst shot

Personally I love watching you guys do what I can't, so worst shot golf isn't that appealing to me. Best shot doubles, 1v1 and just strait practice rounds breaking down the course and how you will attack it are awesome to watch!

Best shot doubles was my fav by far followed by anything straight up, like bringing in any fun ways occasionally but watching great shots and seeing the course is the main goal

Honestly I like all variations, but I'd vote for an OG practice round next. Worst shot rounds are really fun when you have a guest, getting birdies becomes really hard but also really fun when you get them.

After that caddie talk,id say we need a practice round with the other player picking what they think is the best disc and throw for the other.
And no discussion between the caddie or the player. Meaning caddie chooses the disc and the line, and they try to achieve the best possible result.

I believe one on one straight practice rounds while each one of you breakdown your approach and execution of each shot is awesome to watch! Just keep being yourselves while giving us a breakdown of your insight along the way. The current best/worst format is not as much fun to watch and seems not in your favor as far as quality practice for you both. It is also nice when you have guest players along with you and use the standard format, doubles to me doesn't seem like practice. I enjoy when your content is of benefit to you ie: not best/worst, doubles, etc because it actually helps me when watching the actual tournament, how the hole plays and the challenges the players face. I don't see a problem with pros being on the bag for other pros. I like the alternating bad and worst every hole, keeps it interesting lol
I like the breakdown and would like to see more of that with guests, hearing the technical breakdown from other pros that we don’t really get a chance to hear from is nice.

On the practice rounds I just enjoy the multiple shots, explaining the holes options. I watch to better prepare myself to watch coverage. But I do miss the doubles battles and I do enjoy this format, just not as much. Thank y’all for the content!

My favorite disc golfers to follow by far. I've been playing for 25 years but recently I've gotten into some kind of funk. Early releases and just not committing to rotating my body. Super frustrating
If you have 4 shows left I'd say 2 doubles battles, 1 best/shot doubles and 1 worse/best shot triples.
doubles battle is the best format overall. 9 holes best then worse or vice versa good too. Bringing the random guest here and there is a nice up from the regular.
I think I like best on the front and worst on the back. It gives you a chance to build up a cushion and know what you have to do on the back to end with a decent score.

Get some disc golf coaches on the bag, even if they are professionals! The Doubles Battles are awesome!! If that's not possible, I would suggest Best Shot F9 & Worst Shot B9, but alternate each event. I'm always down for a simple practice round, too! Keep it going guys!!!

Got to see ezra playing in person for the first time at ledgestone i forgot to wear my Vizor gang vizor wich bummed me out even though you wern't having a great round just getting to watch the greek god himself in peson was a memory ill never forget it was the first ledgestone ive been too ill be playing next year soo hopefully ill get to see ya next year buddy.

Hey Brodie I just started playing disc golf myself and just played my second round today and just recently found out that there is a course where I live that was 1 of the first 3 built ever. Maybe on the off season you and Ezra can come play it. Its called Highland Springs Reservoir in Kelseyville, CA. Hope you can and make a video out of it.
I think i liked best on the front and worse on the back as far as practice rounds go, but i also enjoyed the foubles battles.
I am for pros finished caddying, reason; I like as manny pros from the inner circle of the leaders as possible in the end, family so to speak, makes for greater moments as a whole.
1v1 Matchplay would be sick, the competitiveness yet still having to play safe and aggressive at times

Doubles battles are the best i think. You can have all the variations in those to ! Practise, best shot, worst shot and have 2 more opinions on the course you play! Oh and we can watch the real HAM AND EGG magic!

Original format where you both throw a bunch of tee shots each hole while talking strategy is best. Makes watching coverage more fun seeing which players choose which shots.

My ideal practice vid: Doubles battle with 9 consecutive holes worst shot and 9 best shot - doesn't matter which 9 for best/worst.

I like either worst on front the best of back to see if u can claw back to E or better. But also miss the doubles battles.
I like alternate every three holes, it should allow you to focus better and get into a better rhythm. It breaks the round into 6 mini rounds. You guys are very entertaining, thank you.

Quick Story for hole 5 - I played hole 5 grip locked the back hand caught a branch on the right tree and my disc faded out quick hit the lid flap on the garbage can and went in the garbage can. Sucks i had to get it out of the garbage but that did save it from going into the water LOL
I will go with the over 2.5 mess ups. LOL. It has to be difficult to remember alternating after each hole.

Hopefully Ezra and Calvin plan on still going to the Rochester silver series event because it’s my first dgpt event I plan on being able to make😂 I would die if they both don’t go😭

you should alternate between best and worst on each throw. i.e drive is best shot, upshot is worst shot.
for the issue of pros caddying for other pros, I think its fine as long as the caddy isn't playing and doesn't jump into the role mid round.

I’d personally prefer either going back to original scoring rounds with micro bets on the line, OR doing modified best shot (you can’t take more than 2 of one persons shots in a row).
