This series is turning into a favourite. Kinda like a budget bike battle..... but not budget....
Without the hangovers and egg?
@@FortyFourTeeth Hangless Eggless Not Budget Bike Battle. HENBBB. It's just rolling off the tongue.
But actually with race mods under a grand it kind of is budget..
@@FortyFourTeeth Im expecting a large scrambled egg at some stage... Wouldnt be racing without throwing all the toys out of the pram.
Ah yes, was that budget bike battle where they fitted £2k wheels to each bike?
Seemed very calm about the guy drifting mid track there Chris. Very impressed 😂😂😂
😂
@@FortyFourTeeth you also stopped along side him to "exchange" words here in the states the tracks more packed and you would have been rear ended, keep moving its a track not the hwy.
@@russiancommy put your gun away!
@@HalfdeadRider its a safety hazard, what he did was equally as foolish as the rider going into his line. no other way to see it.
@@russiancommyno you’re a safety hazard 😂
"Obviously a few words exchanged there" had me crying laughing 🤣
28:38 the ring on the sprocket carrier is to prevent the chain jamming in the swingarm and locking the rear if it comes off or breaks.
Everyday is a school day!
15:29 "So obviously a few words exchanged there"
And than proceeds to 🏍️💨
😂😂
Fagan and Baron the dynamic duo back again hitting us with the godly videos
When running race shift an easy way to remember which way to shift ... head up shift up, head down shift down 👍
There's no two ways around it....it's rough watching you guys mechanecking... seriously hopeless. but man, I love how often you guys go racing. very few channels out there that show the actualities of racing and track riding. really dig it.
What's the point in sugarcoating it? So many pretend to be professionals. We're just two twats having a laugh 😂
Those suits are mental. Love it 😂🍕🍔🦩🦩
That little tongue-lashing sounded like me on my daily commute haha.
Cheers 🍻👍
The section where you talked through the lap was incredible
I’d love to see more content like that
thanks to you two, i've done my first ever track days over the past couple of months. 2 training days with british super bike school, and 5 track days at lydden (crashed), mallory, cadwell, snetterton, Oulton (crashed again). i'm now sat at home in pain from my injuries, and skint from replacing various broken bits of motorcycle. but you know what.... i haven't had this much fun in years. cheers boys. when are we getting a 44t track day?
A 44t track day, there's a thought.
@@elfspicer I'll travel to the uk for that for shure! Rider coaching from boothy, tech tips and support from james and crew yea I can see that.
Loving this series, you’re actually being scientific and everything 😂
Chris in full Dad mode taking over the brake pad project from Al….😆
It’s saying something when Chris has better mechanical skills than Al 😂
The suits a LEGENDARY.
Love playing these series videos in the background while I'm in the garage working on my own bike. Genuinely envious of the banger designs you both get on all your track leathers. Brilliant!
I have no intention on doing track days but still this is one of my favorite series. Very informative for newbies.
The suits are very nice. The flamingos are particularly pleasing. Glad the weather was nice
The ABS is pretty easy to delete, Front end only instructions. You buy the previous model non-ABS lines from HEL (or whoever) then get standard blanking plugs for the ABS end. You run the new lines direct, remove the OEM lines back to the junction block in front of the rad. Undo the hardlines at the abs motor, blow them out with some compressed air and cap both ends with rubber caps. Blank the ABS motor with ABS delete plugs from HEL. The fuse goes back in and its none the wiser that you have bi-passed it all. Experience comes from doing it twice XOXO
That makes sense, it really aggravates me you can't just turn it off though is truly annoying.
@@jediknight1294 Turning off and bypassing ABS are not equal. The ABS hardlines run all the way back to the motor and then all the way back to front junction then to the calipers. It basically triples the length the fluid needs to travel.
@@DL180sx oh I know just looking at the diagrams they seem to have made the r1 deliberately awkward to do it, for MOST users turning it off should be sufficient but having a system that is relatively easy to bypass and doesn't lead to the bike throwing a shit fit and having to mess about leaving the system on board so the ecu doesn't throw it into limp mode would be nice.
Like working on a gold wing or pan or my dad's dno1 with the weird the rear brake activates one caliper on the front disc shit, that ws such a cunt to rip out and setup conventionally.
Dan, did you do this to your road bike or a track bike? Cheers.
@@deanmsimpson Bike is dual purpose. Mostly track but is still road registered.
Really appreciate you being in depth about how the parts you're using would work differently on street or for a slower rider. That info could save folks a lot of wasted time and money and in the end probably safer. Keep up the good work. I can't wait to see you race it.
That boiling point rapid fire torrent of profanities had me in stitches. What made it even better was the calm narration prior to the reality on track and then switching the sound to Chris having a little angry. That laugh came from deep down and couldn't be stopped.
Best video these guys have ever done! Riding, pushing, identifying problems, improving, repeat. That’s what I do! THANKS AND KEEP DOING THESE KIND OF VIDEOS! ❤
When undoing the sprocket, place the handle so it goes across the centre of the wheel. Then you don't need to stop the wheel rotating! Great series boys.
now that is clever!
What a series this is turning out to be, this is right up my cul de sac.
Flipping brilliant chaps, did not want it to end
You guys are brilliant, all your series are top notch, keep it up
You guys crack me up. It's like being in the garage with my mates all taking the piss out of each other and laughing our arses off. In a gentlemanly way of course. Sometimes we even get some work done.
Absolutely loving this series so far. Keep 'em coming boys!
These R1 videos are absolutely ace!!
amazing as always guys, Love it
Those rear sets are a thing of beauty! 🤩 I want them in my life!
Great series this. Lot of fun!
Amazing series as always guys really enjoying this one can't wait for the next episode. Cheers.
Great Series guys! Couple Quick things, with the brakes, you're prob cooking the stock brake fluid. With the pace and those Z04 pads, the whole system needs a flush and vaccum bleed using Quality DOT 4 or 5.1. I've tried a bunch of bleeders over the years, but the hand pump Mittyvac works best. With the chain, its actually good you kept the stock front sprocket, as changing the fronts on R1's can lead to some geometry issues and increased vibration, since the stocker is rubber isolated and dampened. +3 on the rear (like you did) is normally where I start on 1000cc bikes also. I think there's a lot more in the suspension, but it needs to be setup as a whole package.
Cheers, can't wait to see the next one.
Great video, good tip about the fuse removal ❤
Brilliant title. Expensive bike battle and seriously holding your own Chris, very impressive. When is the full factory team going to happen?? come on boys you know it makes sense.
To be fair, if a 44T sprocket wasn’t an option, I’d have probably cancelled my subscription and never watched again 😂
This is a really inspiring series. Might have to ditch the MSport RR and do something like this !
Keep the M!!
Haha that certainty was an exchange of words 😂
Cracking content, love this series! Keep it coming.
great lap explanation Chrissy.
Great series !!
44Teeth upload making my week as always! Handled the on-track obstacle well 😉
These are great segments guys, I'm really looking forward to each one 🤩🥳👏👌
Love the series big fan of it would love to see more in the future !
Great series keep up the good work lads 👍
Another fantastic half hour
I love this!!! And that RC8C in the background is just 😘❤
Love this series to ! However just tap a m6 and change the gearlever and move the splines a bit and yes you have raceshift done it to every latemodel R1 ive got and same to mt10 !
Fair play for holding it up in the gravel, Chris! That was a twitchy bum moment at home!!
I'm so happy there was a 44T sprocket to go on there as well, I was about to punch the telly if there wasn't.
Love this series boiz
These are so interesting to watch!
I live near the bottom on the U.K. and there’s just no tracks that I know of here and it’s unaffordable for me to get up the country to one or go to another countrys race track. I’m legit living my dream through these videos haha.
Awesome guys 😎
44 Teeth . It’s a No-Brainer !!
Great video guys. My new 44Teeth t-Shirt, sticker and keyring arrived last week, ordered new Hoodie this morning 😊😊 😊 keep up the great work.
Thanks 🫶🏼
Lets have it right, these guy's are smashing it out the park...
Good old immediate peer feedback! 🤣🤣 I bet the wandering pitter loved it
Watching you force yourselves to be nice to each other 🤣
Im detecting much less egg between you two latley. I hope you touched and made up x
Brilliant channel guys 👍🏻
Chris, your riding has really come on, credit fella!
Makes me miss my racing days so much!
Getting old school Baron vibes off of this one. Missed it. Good job!
Have one, owned since 2015 and done 75,000 miles, had an RR before, no slower till you hit the speed limiter at 155 mph, does it in 5th and 6 gear.
75k on a 2cr? Wow impressive!
15:22 Baron Von Humble 🤣😅
Good watch lads, playing catch up
A wee tip 🤭 when loosening the rear sprocket carrier bolts.
Place the wheel upright on the ground and press it against a wall. So the tyre is gripping the wall and ground. You can do the same for torquing them up.
You can use this technique for releasing and tightening brake disc bolts too 👍
Or do it with the wheel on the bike and have someone sit on it and apply the rear brake.
Awesome riding boys
love Fagan's leathers haha what a lad
Wow, Chris is showing some great pace, and the commentary was incredible! It was unfortunate that that sh*thead ruined your lap though. Well done guys and thanks for another epic episode 🤩😃🏆
No zip ties on the forks to see bottom travel? Dave Moss is your friend.
“It’s a no brainier” brilliant 😂
Been to Almeria loads and holy cow 1:46 is a great time. Get some!
Was hoping to get another 30 mins out of the video, clicked on the timer, what a let down, nearly finished 👍🏻 looking forward to part 3 👍🏻
Raining all week here down under so nice to do some CZcams laps with you in the sun.
When he almost got hit by the bike that cut him off when he started yelling it sounds like mors-coad
Mors-code
Set of race braided brake lines definitely required she not slow that's for sure plenty of poke.
Watching Chris try to mechanic on bikes makes me feel better about my mechanic skills :)
You don't need to remove calipers to change the pads on R1. Just use 3mm allen key, preferably with ball end, to pull the clips, then push the brake pads pin out with the allen key. Spread the pads a bit with a longnose pliers and off they come out. Do the reverse to install.
Part 3 please your such a tease 😜
It’s scary watching both of you working on the bike 😂😂
Great video. My '23 R1 was great first trackday, but I wasn't pushing it hard. With a tune/exhaust/environmental deletes, it's a monster now and I've only changed the pads. Curious to feel the ABS feedback and see if I need to pull the fuse or go for an eventual delete. I did have the suspension set for my weight, sag, etc. I'll be sure to look for these feedbacks from the video once I get slicks on her, thanks!
Uuuuuh, chris, jeez 😂 some cursing my gawd 😅
I surprised they don't have an off mode for abs and traction control and all that
"so, obviously a few words exchanged there"..... hahahaha!
Funny modern bikes , I’ve had loads bikes over the years ,. Gsxrs R1s zx 10s rs v4 v Aprilias, etc ,. But in a similar vein, there was a guy on a 2008!R1 . 7.23 round Nuremberg!!! Bloody fast , He tried out an R1m an a rsv 4 Aprilia factory ., he was miles slower ,. Tc kicking in … aBS kicking in throttle restriction in various gears ,. He bought an 2018 R1 an spent a bomb deresricting & anti ABS ing itvetc to beat his 08 r1 by a pretty small margin ,.
After a few beers I get wind down the back straight too
Anywhere in the 43’s round there is very, very quick. I thought I was God like when I bust 50’s 🤣👍
I agree. 1.43 high is very fast on that track. Impressive👌
Well the bleep machine works 😆
Needs a full service now though.
The stock 2015+ r1 rear sets for sure do GP shift for sure but those rear sets are smexy
You guys have way too much fun I love it. Just wondering if we are going to see the old bikes Kawasaki ZX7 and Suzuki Srad 750 BBB reload
As soon as Chris gets the 7R ready, they'll be back on the road together!
just waiting for the suspension to be setup.... maybe on day 3? lol
class
🤦♂️ you’d both go faster if you remove the orange reflectors from the front forks 😂😂😎
Drop a tooth off the front sprocket helps alot coming off slow corners
You guys are very brave. You're actually going to ride it after DIY ?!? Top tips - attach the new chain to the old one and thread it through, then remove the old chain. Saves faff ;-)
Loving the vid and the suits have to ask what that tune is in this video as stuck in my head
Great stuff as always. Surprised you still have the mirrors on though?
awesome as usual, but that bloody song! ☠
Not gonna lie the tune is a banger
