- Rahul Kadakia, International Head of Jewellery at Christie’s, on why this spectacular 18.96-carat Fancy Vivid Pink diamond is set to make auction history.
‘The saturation, the intensity of this stone is as good as it gets in a coloured diamond,’ states Kadakia.
‘To find a diamond of this size with this colour is pretty much unreal,’ he continues. ‘You may see this colour in a pink diamond of less than one carat. But this is almost 19 carats and it’s as pink as can be. It’s unbelievable.’

id have any pink diamond with no obvious brown colouring tbh. Theyre so beautiful and so many of them come from my country (Australia) Its really cool
@@Azaelris diamonds graded by GIA as fancy vivid pink without secondary brown overtones is what you are looking for. Brownish pink diamonds decreases in value dramatically.

It sold only for over $72 million dollars not the most expensive per carat. The Pink Legacy holds the record as the most expensive per carat price for a pink diamond. The Pink Star though vivid pink & flawless actually appears lighter pink than The Pink Legacy coz not all pink diamonds of desame grade will look desame.

what you mean so clean is unheard of? just get a lab made diamond you can get clean diamond
Not of that size or colour, yes smaller one carat stones are easy (relatively speaking) but find me a pink flawless lab grown diamond anywhere near that size and I'll eat my words. I believe the largest as of this date Oct 2018 is just over a 5 Carat pinkish-orange CVD diamond.
