Step 1: Verify with Serial Number
First things first, open your iPhone's settings. Go to 'General' and from the menu, click on 'About.' You will find all the details of your iPhone here. Now, just copy the serial number by long-pressing on it.
Next, open Google. This step is crucial, especially for those who are considering buying second-hand iPhones. There are many fake iPhones circulating in the market nowadays. Just type 'iPhone checker' into Google. Click on the first link, which is the official site from Apple. Then, enter the copied serial number and click 'Next.' You will immediately get details about that particular phone, such as the model and date of purchase. If it shows an error, then it's likely a fake product.
Step 2: Check Model Number
After verifying with the serial number, go back to 'Settings' and open 'About' again. From there, check the model number, as shown in the video.
If the device's model number starts with 'M,' then it's a brand new phone directly purchased from the company.
If the model number starts with 'N,' that means some parts of the device have been replaced, like the camera or battery, etc.
If the number starts with 'F,' it's definitely a refurbished device.
Step 3: Check Screen Authenticity
You can also check whether the screen is original or not. Just scroll down in the control center and long-press on the screen brightness icon. If you find the 'True Tone' option, the screen is original. If not, the screen has likely been replaced with a fake one.
