“EVERYONE’S DYING!!!” Was literally everyone’s reaction to Kate & Simon getting killed. I’m stoked that you guys are watching these! It’s such a solid horror trilogy. Has a fun Stranger Things vibe to it almost
I still remember how shocked I was after that scene... Because I tought this was gonna be one of those lighthearted horror movies for teens where every main character survive at the end, but after those kills I was at the edge of my seat for every character...
Kate’s death is the worst tbh. She was fighting back for a second and I really thought she would escape
Kate and Simon didn’t deserve it their deaths really drove home for me that no one is safe
i’ll never forgive them for kate. i was literally traumatized cause i loved her so much. like geez 😭
leigh janiak, the director and writer of fear street, is the wife of ross duffer who is one of the men who created stranger things. I prefer the movies personally but you can definitely see how they influence each other.
This trilogy is awesome. I hope they make more.

R.L Stine is already busy with the story writings for sequels for fear street and goosebumps movies!! Rumours came out after the launch from the new goosebumps series ❤ I really can’t wait for both!

@@SinSinny haha its not a common thing that people know I guess.. but when you know his book writings and the goosebumps movies it’s easily to find out I think! But surely nothing to be ashamed of. If I didn’t know it I would find it a fine surprise to find out that he’s behind it all❤️🔥👻📖

I highly recommend watching them all at the same time, there are throwbacks in the movies, that you may miss.

Still haven't gotten over Kate dying, but she had one of the coolest deaths I've seen in a horror movie in a while!
Used to read both Goosebumps and Fear Street when I was younger, and I hope at some point they make a movie based on the Fear Street book Wrong Number. Or the Cheerleader series. There's a death in the first Cheerleader book that's never gotten out of my head. 😅😢

I loved the films trilogy when they came out no spoilers , the acting and funny moments ,i would have loved if they made it into a 5 series of films but that was me being greedy as i so enjoyed them very much grt thumbs up to the writers and cast and crew.i shall be with you on this journey and watch them again as i have the copies.
I have older sisters (the oldest is 10 years older) and parents that were cool with their kids watching/reading horror as long as it didn't give us nightmares. So, I skipped right over Goosebumps and went to Fear Street books, Christopher Pike books, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and real true crimes shows growing up. When these movies were announced I was stoked!~ And I got a lot of enjoyment out of reactors that went in just knowing that the guy that wrote Goosebumps wrote the Fear Street books, too, and expecting something like Goosebumps; so many people are unprepared for Fear Street, and I love it~^.^
The trilogy is awesome! Hope to see you guys react to the next two!

Yes! I love this saga! Watching the films as they came out 2 summers ago was so much fun! The soundtracks, the mystery, the spookiness… all on point!
I’m of the (maybe) unpopular opinion that Kate had a point with letting Sam die. We’re never really told that they were friends, and I’m not sure I’d be willing to be axed by a ghost killer get me to save my friend’s on-and-off girlfriend 😅
So RIP Kate and Simon, the real MVPs of this film!

I enjoyed the hell out of this trilogy!! I do have to say that Deena ANNOYED TF OUTTA ME during this 1st movie. Her whole logic of being pissed at Sam bcuz she had to move due to her parents divorce. Like…she’s only 30 min away, she’s a minor & had no choice but to move, & Deena broke up with her instead of trying to make it work. I mean…30 minutes was just too far?? Get phucked smh lol. She did grow on me a bit by the end of the trilogy tho.
Also, Kate’s death severely traumatized & upset me. She was my absolute favorite & got the worst death 😢 I literally thought about it for a week lol
My order is 1978, 1994, and then 1666. ‘78 is my favorite by a large margin. It’s so 80’s slasher, Friday the 13th vibes!
The more times I watch the angrier I get with Deena's shit logic and rage issues. Talk about priorities. "My friends are expendable to save an ex I can't get over."

FEAR STREET was my book fair crack! It has always been and will always be the superior series to its little brother GOOSEBUMPS.
Loved this trilogy. So much fun. I can't wait for the next set of movies. I hope they do the Cheerleader Saga; I remember that being my fave series next to the actual Fear Street books.

fear street is one of my favorite trilogies of all time. the writing and directing is amazing and I love how they reference different horror genres and movies in each film.
Yessss I love this trilogy. Fear street is not a part of goosebumps at all, just the same writer. Kind of how like Glee and American Horror Story are both by the same creator. While goosebumps was aimed at kids, fear street was aimed at teens. These are also VERY LOOSELY based on fear street. Great reaction, can’t wait for the others.
I love this series. It manages to keep the feel of older slashers while keeping it modern enough to give good representation. I love the first two, but I think the third might be my favorite.
The first scene where she gets stabbed through the stomach, the book she's holding is The First Evil. The movies are vaguely based off that series (The Cheerleader Series) and The Fear Street Saga trilogy (not to be confused with the Fear Street Sagas series.) I went into the movies not sure how it was going to be based off books so I was happy they went with those ones. (Useless trivia but eh)

Love this series. Glad you noticed the references to Scream at the beginning (including casting a known actor to stand in for Barrymore in the trope). The whole series is very genre aware in the best way.
I was waiting for your expressions for the slicer and was not disappointed. I still can’t rewatch that scene so I appreciated you blurred it.
My sisters and I loved this books as kids so much. I was surprised they started with this set of stories because the others are less lore heavy. But I think they didn’t fully expect them to succeed (they were scheduled to be a theatrical release over 3 years but then the pandemic happened so they just streamed them all at once). I hope they do more of the others in the series.
This has the potential to be a franchise of amazing films if done right.

YESSSS! I've been waiting for this so long! Next to Scream, this is my favorite horror franchise. I just love it, it's campy, pays tribute to the slasher genre, has (in my opinion) engaging characters, awesome gore, and a cool plot.
Edit: Not to mention a banging soundtrack!
Loved the books growing up and this series did a great job of encapsulating them. The next one is my favorite but they're all great. 💚

I love this trilogy! 1666 is my favorite, but it only beats 1978 by a small margin. 1994 is my least favorite of the three, but like I said, I love all of them. I hope they make more Fear Street films. I read that more were planned, but I haven't heard anything since, so I hope it's still happening.
Yeah, 1994 is mostly set up. I think it does well in it's role though.

Imo the best of the trilogy I was expecting such a predictable movie with all the kid characters surviving cause of plot armor but damn when they killed off the girl with the bread slicer fuckin awesome/very creative kill I was gagged and the other guy who got the axe to the head didn’t expect that. I liked the plot regarding the witch. This movie was more focused on the slasher side which I loved. I never cared for the romance drama between the girls in this movie. I love the opening being an homage to scream. I like the main killer in question the skull face. 1978 is also great as well.
