It won’t kill you to wait a day or two after release and you’ve had a chance to see how the launch is going, maybe watch a trusted review or two. Make these companies earn your money. FOMO is a dangerous thing that greedy companies like Blizzard rely on to sucker you into buying a game that hasn’t even released yet.

I got banned there too i was looking and asking around for info on a refund, Blizzard is digging a fucking grave for itself. EDIT: i played for 1hr and decided to try to refund first asking via forums about it and generally looking around and then to the support thats when i got banned and afterwards radio silence from support.
I did manage to Refund my pre-order I believe back in November. Also, I got my Blizzcon e-ticket refunded as well (separate time) because blizzard is going downhill, and I regretted getting the blizzcon ticket. Looks like I just barely made by the cutoff, and have zero plans on purchasing this P.O.S.

some things you missed which are also forced on people who did not buy reforged: -you are locked in a region now you cannot play internationally anymore. -over half of custom maps are broken or mostly broken now and there's no way to legally recover them. -under the new rules hosting maps with copyrighted content used in them (fuck fair use) can result in a ban which covers a lot of maps. -your name now includes your battletag which means you lost all saved characters/stats on custom maps with load systems. -the poor performance is even happening without reforged enabled also i would really contest the "looks better" bit but that's subjective i suppose.

So dont expect any good custom maps to come out in the future since they have too many restrictions on them (anyone remember the abortion of the starcraft 2 map editor)?

Yes it was a successful remastered version. Even their new flight simulator looks to be something to revolutionise the sim market. Looks la Ms is making a comeback.
Makes me wonder what the result would have been if Blizzard just gathered a team of the players and modders still enjoying the game and let them make a new version of the game instead.
If they did, the game might have been far better than anything Activision/Blizzard could have made with their huge budgets and resources. Then Activision/Blizzard will probably add questionable microtransactions and wall off parts of the game to be sold as separate DLCs. It's all about the money nowadays I'm afraid, not the pursuit of passion projects to make the dream game they've always wanted to make (and play) for their enjoyment. Or to push the boundaries farther than anything that has come before it, like the granddaddy developers of genres that we have today were doing 30 years ago.
@Keelan Bioware arent completely gone Mass Effect 3 ending kinda sucked, Anthem was underwhelming but they are going back to the drawing board and lets not even talk about Andromeda but they arent completely gone yet and i still have some (small) hope for a decent game. The reason the animations look weird is that they run at a low FPS, but aren’t optimized for a low FPS like the original. It’s also easier to see the low FPS with more detailed models.

You didn't mention that they wrote a new EULA that allows them to steal anything made from custom games. So in other words, if you make a new franchise out of custom maps, you don't have any right to that. It's Blizzard's, even though they didn't make it. This is their long awaited revenge for being unable to steal defense of the ancients from its developers a while back. If a new map goes viral like that did, this time around, they WILL steal it, and don't owe you a dime for it. If you are a custom map creator, you better stay FAR AWAY from this game. I imagine most people will because of this, and the custom map community will be DOA.
This really hurts, WC3 has had a special place in my gamer heart. I have spent more hours in this game than any other. I love the editor and the diversity of custom maps. Thanks Mack for your ongoing high quality and truth!

About the group control thingie, there is a possible explanation. This might be a sortof compromise with the veterans of the game. In PvP this is a very important feature , because it often separates weak from the strong, that additional annoyance creates a bit of a skill gap. Having said that I'm not really sure if that's what they were going for tbh. Might be just laziness , might be some other bs.
I dodged a bullet with this one. I coincidentally already cancelled my preorder because of their constant dickish censorship, not from the tournament, but their forums. Everyone covered the tournament all over the internet, but no one talks about the constant black bagging of forum users for no good reason what so ever. It's basically V for Vendetta over there. Their mods will literally assassinate you if they don't like something you said, which includes trying to talk about it or warn other users. I was personally suspended from the forums for 30 days, and ALL OF BATTLENET for 3 days. The first thing I did after being able to log back in was cancel my WC 3 preorder and buy gold to make up for the stolen game time.

i remember playing WC3 with all the mods like Custom Hero line Wars, Mini Mauls and tons of Tower defense Maps. Good times. This WC3 game is just pure Heresy and Bilzzard needs to be purged with extreme prejudice by the Inquisition.

Interestingly Activision made 3 great remakes (Crash Bandicoot / Spyro / Crash Team Racing). while Blizzard made 2 remasters, 1 that was ok (Starcraft) and 1 that is a joke and killed the original game.

Is the zoom level editable? I have that issue with all old games where it's very hard to play with a zoom level that close and the UI taking half of it which made sense back in the day but if they didn't change it now means they have done almost nothing, just re-branded it to resell it.

I spent 15 mins playing had made my mind up, took 2 days to get a full refund, dont expect a refund after playing for 12 hours.

This really hurts, WC3 has had a special place in my gamer heart. I have spent more hours in this game than any other. I love the editor and the diversity of custom maps. Thanks Mack for your ongoing high quality and truth!

About the group control thingie, there is a possible explanation.
This might be a sortof compromise with the veterans of the game. In PvP this is a very important feature , because it often separates weak from the strong, that additional annoyance creates a bit of a skill gap.
Having said that I'm not really sure if that's what they were going for tbh. Might be just laziness , might be some other bs.

I dodged a bullet with this one. I coincidentally already cancelled my preorder because of their constant dickish censorship, not from the tournament, but their forums. Everyone covered the tournament all over the internet, but no one talks about the constant black bagging of forum users for no good reason what so ever. It's basically V for Vendetta over there. Their mods will literally assassinate you if they don't like something you said, which includes trying to talk about it or warn other users. I was personally suspended from the forums for 30 days, and ALL OF BATTLENET for 3 days. The first thing I did after being able to log back in was cancel my WC 3 preorder and buy gold to make up for the stolen game time.
Glad I passed this over. Didn't fancy paying for a game I've had for years lol

i remember playing WC3 with all the mods like Custom Hero line Wars, Mini Mauls and tons of Tower defense Maps. Good times.
This WC3 game is just pure Heresy and Bilzzard needs to be purged with extreme prejudice by the Inquisition.
If you have the custom map, try loading it and see if it still works?
I remember playing Wc3 in robotics with my mates in highschool. I remember playing werewolf, tower defense and others. It makes me sad that what I waas looking forward to doesn't exist and that ACTIVISION Blizzard has yet disappointed me again. At least Sc2 if Free to play.

Interestingly Activision made 3 great remakes (Crash Bandicoot / Spyro / Crash Team Racing). while Blizzard made 2 remasters, 1 that was ok (Starcraft) and 1 that is a joke and killed the original game.

Vicarious Visions is a subsidiary to Activision and the games were published under the Activision name so it's fair to see it was made by Activision.

It's an ugly update. Looks exactly like a mobile game... But is that even surprising with modern Blizzard. A phone/toaster should also be capable of running those graphics smoothly, so it's utterly embarrassing that this lags on your pretty high end PC. Blizzard are a joke.

Is the zoom level editable? I have that issue with all old games where it's very hard to play with a zoom level that close and the UI taking half of it which made sense back in the day but if they didn't change it now means they have done almost nothing, just re-branded it to resell it.
