    Nicks chicken rice looked bomb, and we can imagine the rice being so flavorful with all the chicken drippings in it. The Squid dish looked so sticky, crunchy, and sweet, and glad to see that you really enjoyed it. The Lanterns hanging all over the area, was really beautiful! 💖🤗😘

    Wide array of food stalls and food stuffs at Hawker Street! Mouth watering Roti plus Chicken Curry! Interesting crunchy sweet squid :-) Soft textured chicken rice, looks good stuff. Topped it with tasty desserts, I think your night is just perfect. Thanks Nick and Helmi.

We would LOVE that dish! Sorry to hear the roti wasn't sweet enough for you Helmi! But we know you love your sweets.

    Roti jala in indonesia usually like that we eat it with chicken curry or lamb curry and ‘acar’. The one that Helmi mention i think its kue dadar its a sweet dessert with coconut & brown sugar inside

    Chicken rice is so popular in Malaysia, both halal n non halal. There's even a local franchise called chicken rice shop. U can easily find this dish in stalls, street shops, night markets, food courts etc.

    Big fans of Reynold’s creations, watched Masterchef especially when he was in.
    I was sad that he didn’t win, even for the second time last year 🥲
    Have visited KOI before and got the degustation menu, dined in on the second floor. One of the best memorable moments in Sydney!
    We tried his popular “Moss” cake that he created during the Masterchef competition 😍😍♥️

    First time seeing Roti Jala made with Pandan! Usually here's yellow, so interesting! Aww Helmi's disappointed :/ But that chicken curry looks good! Ooooooo love the kecap manis glazed on the squid!! Hainanese chicken rice looks amazing... now I'm craving for it! "Omg you eat the whole chicken?" - well, such a men's thing 😂

    That dessert shop looked amazing with so many choices. That layer cake was beautiful but also expensive. Makes sense why he was on TV before.     Too bad you expect it sweet Helmi haha. I never had sweet roti jala before. However I had the kue dadar gulung a lot which is also palm sugar and coconut filling wrapped in pandan pancake, agreed that one should be much better than the savoury roti jala haha 👌🏻

    Haha yeah Teaser’s dirty tea is not too bad!
    Not the best but still acceptable, if you have other bubble tea shop options around like The Alley or XFT, they are generally better choices for brown sugar boba 👍🏻

    Even if it's commercialized it still looks like a cool place to hang out and find some random treats like that roti Jalat. I'm with helmi totally expected that green roti to be sweet 😂 confusing.     We visited spice alley maybe 5-6 years ago, ah yes agreed the food is quite commercialised, not super authentic I would say. But glad to see Indonesian stall there 👍🏻

    U forgot to mention KOI is owned by fellow Indonesian! Hopefully he could open a branch of KOI in Indonesia someday. Perhaps we could try the cake that u had for only 50rb 😂😂 But yeah Central Park is definitely gonna be on my go to list on my next visit to Sydney.
    Btw the roti jala is not supposed to be sweet me thinks. Atleast not from where i am from. It's supposed to be eaten together with the chicken curry.
