  • While you're asleep, this couple has probably started work on their peanut pancake prep so you can have it in time for breakfast.
With a whopping nine hours of work, Mr Deng and his wife make them daily from scratch, starting from 6pm the day before. Open since 1965, the couple has since amassed a group of loyal followers.
No wonder they sell out by 11am every day. Yummy!

In the 1980s when we lived in Queenstown, we would buy this kueh from the same seller. Whole one large pancake cut into pieces in boxes. His children were studying in the polytechnic and sometimes would help out in the shops. I remember buying the luehs for my office function as well. The taste is unique and one can see Mr Deng make them in front of you. Hope he can pass this technique / receipe to the younger
generation to continue. For the time being I hope people support this couple who had served the community for so long!. Best Wishes to Mr Deng and family.

he has a good marriage rules. Keep work and family matter separate. never bring family matters into a work environment.
