The iPad is what de-cluttered my sister's room filled with papers, I'd say she consumed a ream of bond papers few weeks back in her analog days. She was a pre-med student like you and now a graduating medical student.

it depends on the institution. Private hospitals do not pay much. My first year, I only got paid $6/day imagine that (just a little over $100-$150/month)! No Hazard fees and mandatory (unpaid) overtime (Worked 12 hours but most days I work until 16 hours max). My friends in other institutions get around $400/month. When I transferred to a public institution I got paid $600/month, although working conditions were much tougher. Overworked and underpaid. That's why most nurses shift careers (like I did) or power through the pain and apply for work overseas.
