    I am going to be transferring into a nursing program this summer.
    Owning the MBP 14 & iPad Pro 12.9.. for getting proper work done I prefer the MacBook but I attend my zoom lectures & take notes on the iPad

      Having the power of having both available Is amazing but if it does come down to only one, maybe the IPad Air with a high capacity with a normal computer would get the work done for students in a budget

    What do you think about the regular iPad ? Is the 64gb version going to be enough for books ,pdfs and notes ?

    • @joelaldasoro3391
      @joelaldasoro3391  Pƙed 2 lety

      Regular iPad can also get the job done since it also uses Apple Pencil and you can take notes on it which is the big purpose of the iPad;however, having a 64gb will not be enough for the things you want to do. It has to be at least 125 GB in order for it to not cause you troubles regarding space memory.

    Do you think the ipad mini is viable for nursing school? I thought the benefit of it being small enough to fit in scrub pockets would be the most beneficial but I start school in the Fall so I'm not sure what actually could work well. Great video!

      In my nursing school we can’t electronics to clinicals. We have our notepads and that’s it and for class, it’s better since it’s a bigger screen In my personal preference

      @@joelaldasoro3391 That's something I've been thinking about as well. Unfortunately I can't find any tech policies for my program so i assume they just will tell us before clinical. I'm still leaning towards the mini just for portability and easy holding, but a bigger screen does sound nice for notes. I'll check out bestbuy before I decide, but thank you for the help man!

      @@loneguy17 if you can use tablets in clinicals go ahead but it’s really not a lot of use to have them tbh. Nursing students do help nurses but it’s more of hands on than having to use your electronic device

      @@joelaldasoro3391 I was going more for the purpose of just not having so many paper documents, written or printed, just cause it feels like a waste and I have to search for them if I need a past one. But I get what you mean. I feel like it could be a really useful studying and note taking tool, but it's far from necessary for school. So I'll think about it more based on what products I end up liking. Plus, I'm young so I like the subtle flex on older people who still think tablets are a big version of a phone lol.

    Now that the Air has the M1 chip, it's a no brainer for me to get that one. The 12.9 is way too big for me. Even with my old man 50 year old eyes, I prefer the smaller screen

    • @joelaldasoro3391
      @joelaldasoro3391  Pƙed 2 lety +1

      Yeah! Honestly when I got my iPad 12.9 inch, I noticed it was way too much screen. Maybe because I convinced myself it would be my “new computer” so therefore I needed a bigger screen but then in the end I ended up buying my MacBook Pro since it couldn’t fully replace a computer, at least from my end, so if I could go back in time I would’ve gotten a 1TB iPad Air with the M1 chip since I plan on using it forever throughout all my educational career.

      Any iPad is good for you just make it have a high storage like 128gb so you can save all your notes very well and have no problem storing them. I would personally go for either an iPad Air with the Apple Pencil 2

    • @joelaldasoro3391
      @joelaldasoro3391  Pƙed rokem

      If you already have a computer, then I would say for you to go and get an iPad because a Chromebook and a MacBook is the same thing in regards to programs that you need to use in nursing school. It might be smoother to use a MacBook, then a Chromebook, but you don’t even have an iPad which means you are losing a little bit of the experience of having an iPad so I would recommend to get a 128 GB or a iPad Air in order to use it for your study. Don’t forget the Apple Pencil and the paperlike screen protector.

      If you really really need it, try and get a regular computer because a MacBook would be unnecessary unless you either want to flex or need it for a special program that only mac books have

      Tbh I started with a laptop and it worked so much but my tablet is my saving grace. Depending on what classes you are taking a laptop may be better to start with but a tablet is so great especially for A&P and microbiology. But if you are doing some “ARR” or zoom classes get a laptop first.
