I owned a 2009 Z06 for 10yrs, traded for a 2019 ZO6. It had 2,460 miles, never washed, totally dust and waxed evertime it was driven, never in the rain or a windy day. Smooth roads only. Recieved $70,000 on traded in! One of the best of 18 Corvettes owned during my life time. First Vette purchased was in "69" when I returned from 3 tours in Vietnam . Was a four speed black L88, no radio and had to drive it home using only my right leg, was severely peppered on my left side and was on crutches. I can say "I love CORVETTES !!

That’s when you know you got the bag when you do stupid shit like that he probably has a Lamborghini or a Ferrari too with less miles that’s gonna take a bigger hit.
It's because it's a damn mass produced Chevy, made with a ton of cheap plastic, and some very questionable materials. That said I want a C6Z pretty badly. But a "collector car" it's not, no vette really ever will be.
In 20 years they will probably be back closer to a 100 K than they are 50K though...
Great car for a collector, which I'm ambivalent about for one reason: these cars are meant to be driven.

@AMODEUS316 There's more going on with the ZR1 on ebay than just a Salvage Title. It's been for sale for about 6 months. Labeled as "SOLD" at least three times, then re-listed several more times on a bid basis, then removed by the seller as "Removed due to an error in the listing." I'd love to know what the "error" was! Now it's listed again for a BIN price. Plus, a "fair price" to a seller and a "fair price" to a buyer are more times than not two different "fair" prices. The mileage on this is certainly an eye catcher, but when you break it down, it averages out to only 800 miles per year, 67 miles per month. That's a lot of time for it to just sit.

C6 Z06 - will always be a legend, especially that 60th Anniversary edition. Corvette World always comes up with the CLEANEST cars!

Splitter is part of the z07 package along with side skirt and rear spoiler. The alcantera is also z07 package. The steering wheel bolsters are on all the performance steering wheels. You see that bolster on my cobalt by the way(09 LNF SS Turbo). The blue diamond is the corvette project also known as blue devil. Z06 also has an aluminum frame unlike any of the other zr1 or z51/GS versions. Indeed it is a perfect corvette and if I has the opportunity to grab this one...I would...I am looking but I cant afford that price. 56k for the car since most will think is overly expensive...its not...the mileage+60th+z06(z07) makes it well worth it.

Absolutely LOVE that ‘13 Z06 60th Anniv model, Mike! I would pay that....but only if it was a ‘Vert. As you know, tho, the ‘13 ‘Vert wasn’t designated as a Z06 at all because it had to have a steel frame, thereby making it called just the “Anniversary Model” 60th 427 Convertible. But it still had the 427 small block V8, and I believe almost everything else was the same except weight because of the frame. That is, if it was optioned same, color, stripe, interior, etc. I too believe the LS7 at least in the C6 ‘Vette DID HAVE a rather worrying frequency of dropping a valve into the pistons. It wasn’t ever truly, completely corrected by GM. If I had or purchased my ‘Dream Car’ 60th ‘Vert, I guarantee the 1st thing I would do would be to take my car to Late Model Racecraft to have them retrofit a solid fix to the valve train. That would be the best IMHO, because who would pay that much only to risk a catastrophic engine failure?
I have one even rarer. Mine is one of the few without the stripe. It has 17,204 miles on it. No accident & garage kept. However my front splitter & side skirts have damage from living in the hilly Birmingham area. I want a C8.
That stripe was $995 extra on my LS3 car. Your car looks better to me than a C8 or C7

That spoiler is the Ron Fellows full width spoiler that was placed on all ZR1 PDE equipped cars (2012/13) and Z06 with Z07 package for more down force.

The trouble with having a beautiful Z like this with as clean as it is, low miles, rarity, etc. I'd find it hard to drive much less drive hard because I'd want to save what it's collectability would be later down the line. I'd want a C6 Z06 from 09-13 (3LZ pack preferred and with the Z07 pack if available) but one that's been on the streets a while, not one that's in absolutely perfect condition like this one is, but one I can beat on, modify, and have a blast with on the streets and the track.

I agree when I bought my c6zo6 I had the wheels already in my hand and told the guy to take those off and throw them in the garbage chrome wheels on it looks so much nicer

I bought a 07 LeMans blue Z06 and immediately installed chrome ZR1 wheels, and then bought a ZR1 spoiler from Alex Bowman.
These were by far the sexiest wheels that ever came on a C6!!!

That car is immaculately sharp, it's easy to see on the video. The exterior looks to be 100 %. I do beg to differ with him about the tires. They need to go into the dumpster, due to age. He should know that!!

I love my black c6 z51 m6 (mine has 139k miles I out on since new)...brilliant car...top speed 190 mph, zero to sixty in 4 seconds..pulls One lateral g cornering..good luck to those who love this pace car series. Thanks for posting up

The 1978 pace car is one of my favorite Corvettes.
I'm about to buy one in an IDENTICAL SPEC except the wheels are all black for low-mid $60k range. It has 13k miles, and a fully transferable warranty from GM. Can't wait to seal the deal on it!
Only spec that would match it or MAYBE beat it would be an inferno orange or night race blue IMO!
First of all thank you for the video. The car is beautiful. However it has been a loooong time since I have seen anybody slam the hood or the trunk on a Corvette.

I come within a inch of buying a 13 zo6 a month ago because I really wanted that 7 liters and backed out at the last moment because of the ls7 issues. I figured my luck engine would blow up and I’d have no warranty so now I’m looking at c6 zr1 instead.

Original owner probably paid 75-79K out the door with tax and license and then only drove the car less than 6k miles--that's like $14 dollars a mile not including insurance and gas. The current asking price and put 50K on the odometer and you have got yourself and good deal. (around $1.25 a mile)

I’m looking at the C8 convertibles. I have a 60th anniversary Collector edition convertible. One of the few without the stripe option. It has a blue top. I want to sell it. It has 17,204 miles & garage kept. No accidents.

Saw a 2013 with 2,900 on it and was just as clean triple black for 72 k in Port Richey Florida at the Honda dealer and it sold already was actually a nicer car because it already had headers off road X pipes mufflers a cam and some other mods but it looked like it never seen 60 mph
They're all beautiful but that C6 torch red ZR1 still gets my vote as top dog. I just can't afford it and probably never will. But my C5 Z keeps me very happy!!
It's a beautiful car a very informative and professional presentation and review but it amazes me how manufacturers changes a name of a material in order to charge you more they call it Alcantara but suade is suade either way you look at.

Even though it’s a C6 Z06 i immediately saw that it’s a 60th anniversary addition. I realize that I noticed it has carbon ceramic brakes which told me one thing it’s equipped with all the ZO7 racing package which probably means it has a dry sump oil pump as well. Butterfly exhaust and magnetic ride. Not to mention it’s priced just right. If I was in the position I would scoop up that ZO6 no doubt in my mind. Imagine ordering a C8 ZO6 with the same specs. Not to mention looking for a C7 ZO6 with the same specs. Imagine having a set of triplets with the same speck. Talk about having unique Sports cars from Chevrolet.
All C6Z06's were equipped with a dry sump oiling system incase you were unaware!

I have a 01 Speedway White/Mod red Z06, would like a white C6Z06 in white with red accented interior, I guess a Ron Fellowes?
I have seen a 60th Anniversary all black to include the wheels with the Z07, 3LZ fully loaded back in 2013 at a local small town car show. It has the logo of one of the Chevy brothers on the B pillar.
Unfortunately what you saw was not a 60th Anniversary. It was a 2012 Special Edition commemorating the 100th Anniversary of Chevrolet, or more specifically, of it's founding father, Louis Chevrolet. It may have looked black, but it was a special edition Carbon Flash paint which in bright day light was very unique.

@@BrinkofSpeed this is for the people who know the C timeline and understand it's not 128 of the same color...its 128 of the 60th anniversary z06...it was the celebration of the c6 before it is replaced by the c7...this car is perfect ammo for us corvette enthusiasts to say is worth every penny. Magna ride, aluminum frame, ls7, carbon ceramics, proper aero and venting, alcantera and much more that is not available from any manufacturer for this price...closest a lambo or Ferrari could get would be the 200k-300k range.

Mike good news I am waiting to buy either a ZR1 or a ZORA. Never owned a Corvette. Always wanted to. What real advice do you have to take the right steps to secure a performance models without getting pushed out because of availability. I don't want to pay much over sticker. Buy Z06 then trade or put name on list for Z06 ZR1 and ZORA? See what you get what's the reality?

Pretty car but I will stick to my 01 Z06. I bought it when it had 16,000 miles and got to 110,000 miles on the original engine before the #1 lifter jammed the borehole. Now ... Got a stock 04 LS6 engine with 3900 miles to replace it. Then I hope to get another 110,000 of miles still daily driving it.... best $ 22000 I ever spent...

Wonder what the prices of all those 6 and 7’s will be when the market is flooded with C8’s especially when dealers stop marking them up so much? Maybe that’s when I’ll get my dream C6 Zo6 jet stream blue or possibly ZR1 in the same color.

I really wanna add a C6 Z06 next to my C7. Its so hard to pull the trigger with the Cylijder head issue. I really don't wanna get a car and basically rip it apart and spend 3gs more to make it right. Im looking for one already done (head work) but those are hard to come by.
I see more C6's with the head issue already fixed then I see them not fixed honestly
