The early and mid 80 's were a great time to be a kid. Especially in 1985 l was 12 and first started watching robotech while l was in middle school. Robotech had a nastalgiaic and somewhat of a reassaiance about. I go to middle school and it was always in my head. The music characters just had feeling about it. The childhood memories and love for this show will always be there. Life was simple and peaceful back then compared to today's world. There will never ever be a great decade like the eighties. Thanks for posting and reliving and seeing my childhood from robotech to he man, transformers, gi joe and Voltron.
I lived in LA area in early 1985 and would watch Robotech and Voltron after school on KCOP. Cool to see a recording from that station.
Voltron was on KTTV 11. KCOP had Heathcliff, He-Man, She-Ra, Transformers, GI Joe and Robotech.
@@sgzartan: KCOP also played Inspector Gadget.....I lived in Bakersfield, CA back in the day, and we used to get most of the LA channels on cable.....God Bless cartoons 80s style!!!!
Me too. I would get home in time to see robotech. By then I knew it was 3 separate shows by going to little tokyo and seeing all the macross models and toys.
@@em23you saw the original VF-1 chunky monkey and could buy it?
For people my age, this is gold. Much appreciated.
Oh yeah 85 !
That was a good year... !
So minus the Robotech end credits from today this was cool to see. I grew up in LA during this time and this is great to see from KCOP! The best time of my life was in 85/86….growing up with this and in LA at that time was amazing. Thanks again!
Thank you so much. This year was a stack year for action animation. The Turtles thrived after this window of time. 1983-1987 was the murderer's row of action cartoons.
You're a mind reader, cartoon Angel, idk the best word.
Needed way more than caffeine to come to life this morning & was about to go searching for my 2nd life energy source...cartoons from my day.
Thank you, Thank you!!!!
Yessirski.. Woke up.. Forgot i was off.. PERFECT TIMING!!
Our childhood is in good hands thanks to you!
I'll never forget running home from school to catch Speed Racer in the afternoon and then one day there was no Speed Racer and they has something called Robotech instead. I was so mad but there was nothing else on so I watched it... and of course I fell in love.
1 of the best combos of shows EVER!
What a great time to be a kid this was! 🙂
Dude. I was eight years old in ‘85. This was my after school jam. Plus Inspector Gadget. Keep the good stuff coming, man!
Wow that's awesomely cool because we grew up watching our favorite shows! We don't see good old school cartoons anymore lol .
Thanks for this weekday cartoon lineup from 1985. I remember watching most of these
Thanks, I remember watching Transformers.
what a trip down memory lane......thats awesome, thanks.
Mone, thank you for continuing to take us back brotha!
Gr8 line up
I miss these simple days from the 80's!
Dude, I’m in tears!!!!
Ahh yeah. More of the good stuff Mone! Tricks may be for kids, but vintage commercials are for middle aged AV nerds! Keep em coming! The mighty Macross hit us via R O B O T E C H! It was the first, and best scifi I fell in love with. Now after 40 years of Harmony Gold legal crap Disney Plus bought the real deal. Now I actually like the Robotech version. The heavy narrator, the wooden singing, and the actual kick ass soundtrack! It's not as great as the original but it's the best of the anime adaptations to hit the states back then.
Yeah I need 2 check out the original
This is the best post you've made just by one show that is the GOAT...ROBOTECH. 😎
Nice! 2:01:00 You snuck an episode of Go Lion in! It's cool seeing Voltron in it's original form! It's a bit darker, and more compelling than what we got.
Yes I love it
yea i was wowed by your insert of the original 1981 anime, and inserting Peter Cullen's announcements from its 1984 dub, the best.
Wow awesome.. I remember most of them. Actually used to live in LA at the time 😂❤
1985 is one of my favorite years in the decade! I even got the Bed Bugs board game as well.
Mine too, the music, the cartoons, my 1985 Yamaha Tri-Z! I think 85 was the best 80s year.
@@wfyfwfyf everything about 1985 was cool!
This looks amazing. And 10 years later, the American version of Sailor Moon would make its debut.
gawd I was 5 in 1985... makes me feel old seeing these old friends again xD
My Man! Thank you so much!
❤❤❤❤❤my 80s cartoons
Best year in human history.
Classic 80s
Great lineup brother. This was my Saturday morning 🤙
Awesome!! Thanks 👍
Robotech, Transformers, He Man, She ra, G.I. Joe, Voltron
He-Man!!!!!
Love this Mone!!!!
💯👌thanks
Hold the flip up. S'mores cereal was started in EIGHTY-FIVE!? And it's still going on? Meanwhile, Count Chocula, FrankenBerry, & Boo Berry have been regulated to Halloween (To which they've FINALLY added a fourth one with a FEMALE mascot.) & finding cereals such as Cookie Crisp & Golden Smacks has become rather...difficult, to say the least.
Keep the good time spirit alive excellent
Wow! This really makes me feel like a kid again. Thanks for posting!
As a kid in the 80’s
I grew up watching He-Man, Voltron, GI Joe, Thunder Cats, Transformers etc
But not Robotech, never heard of or seen it before until Toonami on Cartoon Network in the early 2000’s
And I was 4 in 1985
I love this channel! I watched this whole block. The Voltron episode was amazing!
Hey great opening Buck Rogers into Robotech.
One of the very best episodes of nearly everything you played :-)
LET'S GO!!!!!!!
please let me go back to those days........the 2020s suck bad.....
And now I find out that "Follow That Bird" was made in 1985, too! God-D@MN I feel old!
This is great. Only thing is the He-Man and She-Ra episodes are playing in British broadcast speed instead of American Broadcast speed. In the US, we wound up with the DVD sets where all the episodes are in PAL or British format 4% faster than they were when they were on TV in America (NTSC format) or on American VHS/Beta/Laserdisc back in the 80s. The original NTSC negatves were lost or discarded sometime in 2003 or 2004 when the Filmation Library of cartoons was sold by Halmark entertainment to Entertainment rights in the UK. A German Home Video/Media Company recently released the series on Blu Ray, but they fixed the playback speed issue on converted what they had to NTSC format before remastering the episodes for Blu Ray release. They also corrected the deleted scene issue from the very first episode. The only thing they forgot in this special collectors set is the Orko and Kowl Commercial Bumpers and the Pilot opening to the Diamond Ray episode. The Blu Ray set is region free, so it will play on any Blu Ray player. The bad news is that they only did a limited production run of the collectors set and it was discontinued last year. A few ebay delaers in Germany still have new copies left, but they run $500-$600 each not including shipping. I can't afford it now, but eventually I WILL HAVE THAT SET AT ANY COST. Then I'm getting rid of my DVD sets from 2005-2010.
Dude!!! Thankyou
Thanks for letting me know more about this d. W.
As a kid watching Robotech I would wonder why the bridge of such an important ship was staffed by inexperienced girls and not battle hardened sailors? But then again didn’t question the giant robot plane 😂
Whoa 🎉
50:50 I notice He-Man didn't set the river back on its previous path. That's gonna do a lot of damage to the ecosystem.
Why did you replace the "Robotech" broadcast version with "Robotech Remastered"?
Nothing like ‘85
I've seen Sesame Street Presents Follow That Bird, I actually liked it, it was pretty good. I want to see this movie on Tubi and Roku.
Good days
The Gold Edition Decepticons.
A good upload as always. Although news has been buzzing about the new MeTV Toons that will be launching later on next month. Hopefully this doesn't put a damper on any future uploads you may put up. And even though they'll be showing some good nostalgic cartoons, I'd rather watch channels such as these where you get original commercials and bumpers along with the program. Not gonna be a whole lot of fun watching those cartoons with no bumpers, and current ads!
Yeah they'll probably block most of my toons, I see them already blocking my content. Frustrating but ill just post em on my paetreon. And thanks.
@@MoneMedia No problem. I'll be there soon enough.
Good Stuff, Thanks Mone!!
Love the channel, bro.
06:23: All right. I realize this was from '85, but come on! There is no way in Heaven or Hell that such a huge city would grow up over 10 years. It takes nearly a full year just to build ONE skyscraper - & that's if they're moving REALLY fast with 3 8-hour shifts - for crying out loud! At best, you might see a shantytown, or maybe - possibly - a small grouping of residential homes for the scientists with a few science labs & maybe a few commercial or service buildings mixed in. In order to get to THAT level of a city in 10 years, you'd have to be building - at minimum - 20 skyscrapers at a time, in addition to all of the smaller buildings. It'd probably take all of the construction crews on the planet working together on nothing else, & even then it'd be a stretch.
Sorry Cringer. I need the weed for one of my experiments. 37:25
Me too, Man at Arms. Me too
How do you stream cartoons like these?
Season 1 intro for a a season 2 episode of the Transformers? 😂
I need the weed to complete my experiment!!!
Also said by Footloose from GI Joe
Let's form VOLTRON was the BESTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT.
Mone may I ask you what would be your dream Saturday morning cartoon lineup, and do you have any new ideas for new cartoons for said lineup
More videos please 🙏
Born in 77, Robotech is the only show I never watched
Miss buck Roger's
Mone hit us with the Allstar after school lineup! Thank you bruv
1986 i was 8
"We won"... 1:25:58
👍
I'd rather be a cowboy but cartoons our fun d.w.
1:18:38 You gotta have balls of steel to air a frickin' GoBots commercial DURING a Transformers cartoon. Blasphemy!
Lol
I tell ya I miss the 80's the people cared more, there was love in the world. We also cared about our country... And now we lack in all those and so our country is being destroyed by evil men foreign and domestic as we sit by and watch. I pray the Lord Jesus Christ saves us all. 💯🇺🇸💪🕊️🙏🏼
Definitely not the broadcast version of Robotech with the horrific sound effects of the remastered edition. You should have grabbed your copy from the first set of DVDs they put out with the mono audio.. I guess that makes this video a tribute or recreation rather than an authentic record.. Bummer.. Man, seriously the audio assault of those awful sound effects.. I guess I should start digitizing my VHS collection taped off broadcast TV.. I must have 20 tapes of Voltron since Robotech had done it's broadcast run and I'd settled for next best..
Disney had a cartoon block aswell in the 90s before all this remake woke stuff
Que recuerdos...gracias
This made my day Mone-bro. Work is boring as all hell today, and now I can kick back to some Tatsunoko toonage. 😎👏🧼
